I'm thinking about testing my apartment because I'm not feeling too well and just try to rule out possible problematic things. I really don't want to go there with my landlord about that all things considered. I can't even get a decent ac out of them. I hope my suspicions are wrong though.

Radon doesn't exist in apartments or any other living place of rent, it only exist in single family homes, particularly if you own it.

Thank you for explaining all the different tests as I had one company use a DIY and another use one of those speedy nice ones… which I assume are more efficient?

Hi, we highly suggest for you to have a radon expert do the test - saves you more time and have your mitigation solutions ready!
