My dad always planted Kentucky Wonder beans bush beans. His mom did half runners. Dad didn't like having to pull off the strings so he found a variety if bean without the extra work associated with the strings.

Looking great Bev! Sure does look like you were getting a little too warm at the end there - take it easy until the weather changes and don't overdo it. We're bracing for our next heat wave starting this weekend in California - I'm definitely not looking forward to it, especially if the power company does more brown outs, but we have a good backup. Unfortunately, most people don't but we just have to keep an eye on family, friends & neighbors. Thank you for the update. God bless & stay cool 😎❤😊

@@ruthfields3874 they're called brown outs in California because our governor is full of sh*t & there's absolutely no reason to cut the electricity - hence why it's called brown, not black. Have a wonderful day

@@ruthfields3874No it's called a brown out when power company's purposely cut power to selected areas for the purpose of relieving the drain of power on an already over burdened and out dated power grid in an attempt to avoid a massive break down and expensive repairs, a black out is when you lose power because of massive break downs caused by weather, and or grid failure . People who choose ignorance instead of basic knowledge are funny and sad at the same time! 😂👍💯🤡

You're garden is looking so green and lush, all the hard work is definitely showing. In Summer sweat just pours off my head and I carry a large microfibre cloth to mop it up, when I forget the cloth my shirt gets the job done too😊

Hey Mrs V ... Sorry I've missed your last few lives ... But hopefully I'll get to see some soon ... I planted 2 packets of Cherokee wax this year ... Hopefully the mouse or whatever it was that ate my beans last year don't get them this year ... I have room for 2 more packets of them but I gotta see if I can find some in the store ... I thought I had some royal burgundy left from last year but can't find them ... I'm excited my garden is doing so much better this year than it did last year ... I love garden and harvest videos .. I think they are my favorite kind of video.

Your garden beds look great Bev. Here in Nova Scotia yesterday was 42 with the humidity. I live a quarter of a mile from the Altanic ocean. Their was no wind blowing, everything was still not a breath of air anywhere.

My beans were too be Bush beans but just started with runners and the pole beans got eatten by the baby bunny. And we've had a few days of heat but its good for my tomatoes and sweet potatoes.

It is every year.I get An old composted pile from somebody's burn.And feel my beds. I didn't top them up this year but I will next year.They constantly get fresh soil every year.

Your garden looks amazing! Keep hydrated, and drink some pickle juice after being out in the heat--it's a wonderful natural electrolyte and is great at stopping heat cramps or muscle soreness after working in the heat. Something to do with all the leftover juice from all the pickles Howie eats 😅Love ya!

New to your channel and loving it. Fibro is not good when it's hot. There's no way to control your body temp, once your toooooo hot. I did buy a portable fan to put around my neck, that helps. I go out in the morning and at night to work in my garden and hide inside when the sun is out. Going to try your Yorkshire pudding, sounds yummy. And my God Bless you and Howie.

Welcome ABOARD!!! I hear you on the fibro heat exhaustion. Howie is working on getting the pool liner in and filled this weekend. Once my pool is up, I can brave the garden two or three times a day. Because all I have to do is make it to the pool and plunge in. But without it..I am at the mercy of the heat.

It was brutal hot last week wasnt it? I can manage about 15 minutes outside before flopping down inside in a sweaty mess. I agree you can’t have enough beans. I don’t like processed beans so I pig out on them all summer! Already got flowers on one patch of green and runners and the second is leafing out. Mind the heat Bev take care.

I canned some pickles last year . Sad news is all jars are sealed. I de bubbled . Filled ball blue book recipe to a T. I checked and there sealed . But are no good. Take stale. I’m wondering why. I processed correct time. So I’m wondering what happened. The stuff I used with Ms wags salsa and chili base are fine. Trust me I read the instructions over and over and went through everything. Sterilizing jars whole nine yards. I’m. Stumped.

But you must remember darling.I am canadian and anything over eighty degrees is extremely hot for me. Especially when there's a high humidity.
