Pressure points are difficult to hit effectively in a real fight. Instead target the eyes, groin and throat! Your techniques may be different, but this concept is universal to all combat arts. What else you want to learn? ask below

The groin is best because a) you don't have to do a lot of damage to cause pain b) is not likely to kill them and c) it is usually poorly defended and an unexpected attack. But I prefer to attack the groin with a quick instep kick, which I learned in karate. This has saved me from a mugger, the guy crumpled to the ground and it wasn't a hard kick, just very fast.
@Rupen1708
@Rupen1708 5 жыл бұрын
Actually the groins are goin to be an exploit the defenders can use and the male body just defends it instinctively so ur third is well unreserved and useless just me. I love fighting and get into them pretty often even over small things aka I’m a fighting freak but in my time in fighting or idiotic moments I’ve block pretty much all groin shots/strikes and ur body instinctively only does this when u see people in front or in ur outter sight area forgot the name of the term.

In Kyusho Jitsu what you just showed are classified as vital points and not pressure points. Another thing pressure points are easier to get to on muscular and bigger people because the nerve endings are stretch which increases the activation area. I was working with the Filipino Army a couple of years ago on teaching them some martial arts. These guys are really muscular and in good shape, but the pressure points are very easy to get to, so I had control of them like a bunch of babies.

Pressure points on the arm can be effective and make it go numb as well as cause disabling pain. Hitting into the leg can be quite effective, and doesn't even have to be a pressure point hit. Hitting just about anywhere into the thigh muscle can cause a lot of pain.Good place to hit especially in defense against a kicking attack. And just right under the nose and above the upper lip you have the philtrum. Don't have to strike it, you can press forcefully on this point and make a big guy go down. It works because there are a lot of nerves there. It can cause intense pain.

Thank you very much for this great video. I clicked on Subscribe just now. One question. When a child is being kidnapped, and if the child bites the kidnapper's carotid artery (which you pointed at) and make it bleed, do you think it may make the kidnapper bleed and go unconscious soon? (because he will be losing blood that goes into his brain). I always wondered if it will be one of a ways in which a child could beat a kidnapper (if the child manages to reach and bite his neck, I mean).

Just remember, as far as the groin strike, statistically there are about 1 in 20 guys that a groin strike won't work against. I have seen guys in bar fights who have taken a full on kick to the groin just stand there, smile at the person that kicked them, then proceed to do some serious damage because the person was so surprised that his technique didn't work that he wasn't ready in case of counter attack.

Phoenix Eye fist is a single knuckle Pointer finger, what you called Phoenix eye looked more like a leopard fist and there are two pressure points at the corner of the eye but the eye is not considered a pressure point, The video would more aptly be named 3 Most Dangerous Vulnerable areas for self-defense. There actually are quite a few pressure points that will stun or immobilize an opponent, The Neck spot you called out is Stomach 9 or ST9 and is in fact one of the oldest known pressure points that can cause death so you did name one of the 36 death spots and the groin on top of its obvious hurt zone also has a huge cluster of pressure points right above it that works on both men and women and also another behind / below it. And pressure points do actually work well and can be targeted in fights easily if you actually do practice both memorizing the main ones and finding ways to maneuver to hit them properly. We've seen them work on occasions even by accident LOL, We actually had a guy get hit with a ball of the foot kick to his GB 30 (Gall Bladder 30) that crippled his leg for a few minutes. He said it didn't hurt, but every time he tried to put any weight on it he collapsed until he finally just crawled his way over to a bench and sat down LOL.

one good slap to the throat ends any confrontation. If he or she is huge and you feel a chase may ensue afterwards, run the edge of your shoe down one of their shins. The skin on top of the shin bone is thin and the pain from this is unbearable No one recovers quickly. This is a good way to avoid permanently blinding someone. 😉

Horace Hogsnort yes that's true but at times you don't have to hunt someone so severely to protect yourself. You are accountable for all your actions and when it comes down to hurting someone your use of force may need to justified. Otherwise the police would just shoot because they have a gun at their disposal.

My husband taught me the knuckles to the throat. & He taught me if I'm in a head lock, how to get out by pushing my finger tips in the neck; right under the jaw & the person will literally lose control over his arms & he'll release me.

Attack a limb a joint or a vital point or 1/2 way down the muscle(mid Muscle) Most fighters are headhunters but the Liver kidney pancreas groin knee and ankle are nice and easy to pop W/o as much protection.

Can you explain the pressure point of the median nerve of the hand and carpal tunnel area and what it does? How can it be used in a self defense tactic?

Pressure points like that take a lot of training to use properly. Go after easier ones like the ones in this video
