But the method... does it count as pretentious? Who'd use a chopper and a motor whisk just for an omelette when a good ripping up with hands would do the trick just fine if you're looking for a quick rough omelette. I know it's their usual Kenwood plug but it seems a little excessive for it this time round. Barry somehow still ends up pretentious even when making a simple omelette! No hate on him.. okay maybe just a little for leaving the hobs on all the time. #shockcollar I'm kidding, we love your pretentious whacky self i it's own way but seriously, turn that hob off.

No, it looks forced as hell. They pan over the sponsor product more pornographically than porn. We are shown a slow spin of a product that we know the chef's don't use often if ever because when money isn't shoved in their faces they use knives like every other chef. Or they use a high priced Cuisinart. It's a lie and annoying to see people who are teaching cooking tell people to use what they don't themselves. Until Kenmore gave them money you never saw them use a single thing they made. They were bought. You can't trust them. If the second omelette was too finely chopped for Ben he can't tell you.

1) No Spanish will ever get offended if you name ir "Spanish omelette"...it is an omelette 2) You should have tried to flip it the original way, although it takes some skill (would have been funny) 3) You are the first Brit chef who actually cooked a 10/10 Spanish Omelette. CONGRATS! PS There will be a debate about if the egg should be runny in the inside...both ways are good for me.

@@basstolk6027 You do not slide the omelette on a plate, place the pan on top and flip...you just place a plate on top of the plan and flip both quick enough so the omelette stays on the plate and egg doesn't drips. Yesterday mine was perfect. Tomorrow it might look like scrambled eggs. I like that extra plate flip trick. And I agree choice is important when serving others.

It's so cool to see how similar the different mediterranean cousins are. In Greece our omelette is almost the exact same as the Spanish version, except there is no onion in ours.

I’m at either end of the extreme really, the quesadilla is something I do fairly often, but as with everyone else, the simplicity of Barry’s just makes it the actual winner of the challenge.

I miss the over-the-top music and shots when doing the sponsored promotional part. I absolutely loved that you didn't take yourselves too seriously and acknowledged that we all know it was a paid promotion rather than trying to hide/downplay it. Absolutely loved the ridiculousness and think it would be great to go back!

It's still too much. Do you believe for a second that Ben wouldn't have used a have whisk and a knife if he wasn't being paid? No way. We're not getting his honest teaching everytime they are sponsoring these things. The best sponsors are when they are what the chefs would use anyway. Ben makes this at home with a German made knife, I'd bet.

@@MilwaukeeWoman I don't mind the sponsorships. They have bills to pay and that's one of the ways they pay them. What I loved is how they weren't hiding it. They went the exact opposite route and highlighted the crap out of it and made it entertaining. I want the fun back.

@@stingman777 I'd rather they made sure that they were showing appliances when they make sense to use them. If Chef Ben is going to pull out a food processor I want it to be because that's what he would genuinely do. I don't have a problem with it being sponsored. I mean, I pay for KZfaq Premium because I wanted to never see commercials, so they're supposed to get money from me viewing the video, but I guess that's not enough, fine. But show me the product in a way where it's needed.

Ham in an omelette is a classic. He should have put Jimmy Dean sage sausage roll in there with fried jalapeños are caramelized onions. Pure cancer delicious. Cheese is Monterey Jack. Because he could say Monterey Jack...

Ok, I've seen a lot of these Kenwood demo videos, and most of them have been quite underwhelming. THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT. This is god damn mind blowing. As for the actual video, I have to say the simple one. Nothing like thinking "Damn, I want some eggs in me now" and whipping them out in a few minutes. I think the other two are more for planned events, like a family brunch or a company picnic.

Ebbers, you’re the only chef I know that keeps the sleeves down while cooking. Tbh I just wanna go over and roll them up, especially when you’re mixing the onions and potato in with the egg, all I can think of is what if you dip your sleeve into the egg 😭

I love that Barry and Jamie are arguing about how different their omelettes are, and they're literally the same omelette but with different fillings. Meanwhile, Ebbers is sitting there with what is basically a frittata.
