I like how the buffed champions aren't even RECOMMENDED. Rell is OP strong and has leona CC. Not too mention Kallista's buffs. Pro guides? More like "NO" guides. HAHA.

Singed? :-/ don't give 'dem bronze players ideas, please... :D Garen is a better pick. Whatever the matchup, garen is huge for beginners. The only mechanics they have to learn is to reset auto with Q, to auto attack and move while E is down... and to not press R too fast. The champ is easy, so they can focus on CS. The build you show for him in the video is very complete... it has everything they need to deal dmg and tank efficiently. But I still have a pref for conqueror.
