I love the advice you give in this video, especially about starting out small. I think that fact gets lost when you see so many youtubers who have these massive sealed collections or binders with master sets of cards. We all wish we could have such massive collections and its a dream worth having, but not everyone can build at the same rate. Thank you!

The Bible says that no one is a good person. We have all broken God's law the 10 commandments, we have all committed, lies, adultery, idolatry, and blasphemy. We deserve hell, but because of what Jesus did on the cross we can be forgiven. So if you Repent of your sins, change your wicked ways, and put your faith in Christ you will be written in the book of life. 👌 🙏Repentance is reviewing one's actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs, which is accompanied by commitment to and actual actions that show and prove a change for the better.

My biggest takeaway from collecting is that even in such down times the tcg market is still full of rising demands (360-400 for an evolving skies booster box as one example) and the player base is healthy, so imagine once things settle down in a few years, but as you say having enjoyment in the game is great. Personally I'm for anything that reminds me of friends' binders in school.

This is a great video. My mistake was that I tried to save something of everything. Sure it'll rise in value but the return isn't really worth it. Now I limit my sealed purchases to big stuff, ETBs, Premium Collections and booster boxes. I'd rather hold a bb to sell for $100 profit rather than $30 for a tin, even though one's ROI might be 50% vs 300%.

It's make you sit down and think that one day in the past you held everyone one of these cards in your hand but never thought how much or would think where pokemon where have went with cards I was 6 or 7 never appreciated the things I had especially with pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards I wanted them all I had to have them all I never stolen a card nor when someone tryed to get one over on me I bought fake cards just to keep so that I can tell the difference between the fakes and real cards I have learned that those cards I once held could have been so valuable I never battled in Pokemon only was a collector I had binders shoes boxes sleeves full of cards I had rare 1st edition but at the time in the early 90s those cards wasn't worth nothing and now I see that I am in my 30s it goes to show always appreciate what you have you may never know what you have in your hand that one day can land you a pretty big penny back then I was never into for money I was a kid then but if I would have kept every card that I had I could have bought my wife a wedding with the cards I had and it blows my mind. So kids always take value in your card if you get a rare or super rare or even 1st edition packs put em away in a case and keep it safe may never know what be you may get when your older. In short words don't be like me lol

I enjoy this channel. This is the second video I’ve watched but your energy is very nice. I stepped away from ripping sets like I used to, I get way too much bulk that I can’t sell fast enough. I slowed down on buying or grading Charizards as much as I used to and I’m slowly acquiring a slab here or there off eBay. I just bought a GEM 10 Shiny V Charizard from CP, $280 purchase. I graded the same card and got a CGC 9.5 As of now, holding that Charizard helps motivate me to keep saving up money. I plan to sell that Charizard V one day. My grade collection is 99.99% PSA/CGC 9.5 or lower. I enjoy collecting and flexing such a high graded card so I’ve been thinking of buying these Gem 10 cards for as low as possible and then sell them months later. I’m not looking to flip these cards but I look at it as money holders. This $300 card is funds for another day and I can appreciate the value every time I hold it. It won’t be mine forever, unless I decide to keep it 😅 But I plan to sell Gem 10’s to fund other things. I’m looking into buying a compound bow, which is around $700+ to start up. 2-3 Gem 10’s will fund that purchase. Saving up $800 is boring but buying Gem 10’s and drooling over how beautiful they are until I have to sell them to get those funds..that’s something I can get behind.

Collecting isn’t really to expensive for me. I really only collect for a personal collection, that I don’t ever really see me selling. Instead of buying a 300 dollar charizard, a Pokémon I don’t like, and sitting on it, I’d rather take that 300 and buy ones I like, some of which may be average price, but most are cheap. I don’t see people running after yamask, drifloon, nagenimite, etc cards lol

I’m wondering as a new collector, what would be your top 3-5 to start with? I see so many ETB, tins, premium collections at stores and online that it get’s overwhelming. I’m not looking to spend anything beyond retail or as close to retail as possible. Any input would be much appreciated! I’ll check out some of your other videos as well!

Great video with great content, as always. I made the mistake of spending more than I should've in the past for FOMO. Nowadays, I buy sealed if it's at the right price, if I like the set, or if I know it could do well in the future. With graded, I wait patiently and buy the deals, or when a seller makes me an offer. Today, I purchased a Nobunaga's Ambition Rayquaza Japanese promo in PSA 9 for less than 100 bucks. Which blew my mind. You can look at similar grades or lower, and it will be more than 100; PSA 10s are in the hundreds lol I didn't hesitate, as that's a promo I've been wanting for some time. Good scoop up, in my opinion, especially being a Japanese only card.😆🙏

Hi Pokevault! We really enjoy this type of videos my husband and I are thinking to invest in Pokemon Card's and also to collect, for example, buy 2 of each boxes one to collect and the other to leave it close and wait some years to see how it goes!, wish you luck always and really nice video! Hello from Colombia!

I enjoy the part about the flipping I still new to like pokemon cards but at first I was in it for the flips but then I quickly realized it's not about the profit it's more about the fun and honestly I gotta say it's way fun with the mindset of collecting and having fun opening a pack seeing what you can get than just trying to sell the cards off

What do you think about investing in celebrations packs and pokemon go packs ? My biggest problem is, in my country we don't have any place to buy pokemon cards. I'm in Sri Lanka. And if I order from online the shipping cost is always 2 or 3 times higher than the actually product. 😥. I hope they will give free shipping in upcoming prime day sales.

Either one is good in my opinion. And wow, cheers from the US!
