You don’t have any treatment in your room and you give lessons on mixing and mastering. No offence. So tell us that how do you get clean mixes without any room treatment?

Brother it is his house not his production room both are different. He is in home due to quarantine

RHYTHM: feel the music he have a home studio, where he produces and engineers the final output. He has just released a new song made during quarantine. The quarantine period has been over and whole india is in unlock mode.

- yes , I am home and i don’t have any acoustic control here . The truth about music making is, what you actually need more than any gear, equipments or treatment is “A good pair of Ears”. Like Andrew Scheps says, “once your song is played through the speaker, Nobody actually cares, how you did it . It will either sound good or bad.” Also taking about lockdown , I come from Duliajan (Assam), and here inter-district movements are also constrained. So yeah, the pandemic ain’t over yet, just coz the news and media stopped taking about it . Much love brother

Dream Art Records you are right. But i meant to ask that, i just converted my bedroom into homestudio and have removed everything. Now i have a couch, carpet, 2 keyboard tables and 1 main studio desk (6 by 3). There’s no treatment but there’s no reverb as well as i have some old mattress laying on the sides and i have plenty of curtains as temporary fix for reflections. I use presonus eris E8 studio monitors and my room is 12 feet by 15 feet in dimension, i have placed my desk int the centre of the shortest wall and the monitors are about 1.5 feet away from wall. I have placed regular 2 inch foam to isolate monitors from desk. But still the bass is too much.

Bass is little difficult to contain when small rooms are concerned . Also, sounds like you already have too many absorbent material in your room which is the reason why you are getting comparatively a signal with less reverb . But you cant forget the fact that all the things that you mentioned play a role in absorbing the high frequencies. Practically porous material does not absorb as much frequencies as compared to resonant tube traps, when we talk about bass. Also, just to be clear , we are taking about bass traps here . May be you can try investing in some bass traps next . Hope it helps . 😊
