That last method is absolutely magic! I often have to clip plants and trees to place on renderings and most are not on solid color backgrounds. Nearly every example of clipping masks for complex objects is a tree on a solid blue sky. In my work I rarely find photos that clean. I've even tried the Mask AI and so so many KZfaq tutorials, asked colleagues, you name it. I've never found a good solution...until now! I can't thank you enough! This video should be included as orientation information in every landscape architecture program! Thank you!

OMG, Jesús! CTRL clicking on the new layer icon to create the layer below... That is a genius tip! I always mess up my clipped layers. I know of the ALT + new layer trick, but this tip is much more practical. After almost 25 years of using Photoshop, I'm always learning new things!

Thanks for another great video. I do have one question. In the last technique, why didn't you make the brush from the tree in the photograph? Was it because it would be harder to get realistic edges?
