Its very simple increase production and online sales killed the game. Before if you truly wanted a shoe you had to wait in line and actually buy it.

Hopefully itll stay dead. Resellers were buying all the sneakers and making it impossible for normal people to get them without paying twice what they were sold for.

unfortunately it will never die its currently a $70B industry and will only grow but if your trying to get into sneakers this is one of the best times to do so since the market is so low

Man the resell game is almost terminally Ill but still goin to chemotherapy…..there will always be some shoes that will be hyped like the sb4s, Kobes, lost and founds and other limited shoes but I don’t think the overall resell market will ever get close to 2020 level ever again 🤷🏾‍♂️

Been doing this for 20 years and change bro. Dudes won't be able to be on egregious resell bullshit again until about ohhhh 2028 or 2029. Nike gives resellers about 4 to 5 years, and give regular, fly people who buy at retail about 4 to 5 years. It's been going like that since 2012 and prior. And dudes better pray they don't come out with 3D print tech that lets customs go crazier. That'll be curtains for wild overpriced kicks. BioHack Jordan 1 btw. Not Bio Tech. And those are based on dunks.....nevermind. Y'all resellers. I'm a fresh kid. You don't care about shit like that. I do.

This isn’t a bad thing. Companies could have killed off the market by just making more stock. If the stock isn’t rare, you’d buy it from the retailer because that’s a fair price. How is it a brick, I’m sure Nike is making money on it. If they just keep making more instead of limited releases, people won’t need the resale market. In all honesty all resellers are are people who make it hard for us to buy sneakers and makes us have to spend more.

I have the money to buy in whatever market but I’m not going to spend money on worthless sneakers in a sense because I don’t have time to be waiting on someone to buy a sneaker I wear mine is the main reason anyway plus I can’t spend 200/300 over retail knowing it only cost $10 to make I don’t mind an extra $100 over but my business mind kicks in and say wait for the next drop I have almost 100 pairs mostly dead stock from 7/8 years ago so I’m not buying into that bs I’m going for sneakers I’ve been wanting since I was a kid and I’m gaining them now pennys deons Griffey’s Jordan’s etc I have a wide variety and when I do have time to wear them these youngsters be looking like damn what are those 😂😂 because all they know are Jordan’s I love the 90’s it had the best of everything from hip-hop,fashion,sports etc
