There isn't a bacteria problem in your bathroom if you flush the toilet with the lid closed (seems obvious, but some people don't do that) and just switch out your towels every few days. No need for paper towels :)

see ive never heard of that... to flush with a closed lid i seriously didn't know about that... 😢

You know that bacteria happens with or without a closed lid lol like you touch a lot of things in there and you also bathe in there. Not to mention damp anything starts to Harbor bacteria no matter what especially fabric type things like towels. But different things work for different people so to each their own.

Yes bacteria builds up on towels left in a bathroom whether the toilette is flushed (which we all do and I’m sure this young lady does) or otherwise. Change the towel you use on your face DAILY or use paper towels to prevent cross contamination.

having texture ok your skin in completely normal. we are human humans have texture and pores etc on their skin. don’t feel like if your skin isn’t 100% smooths it’s not normal. it is and hou are beautiful❤

Yes of course! But I don’t think she’s referring to regular texture, more like if you start getting bumps out of nowhere that aren’t acne, cause it usually means there is something irritating your skin (new products, ingredients, fragrances) or oil buildup/bacteria from not washing long enough or dirty towel (even dirty pillow case or having your hair in your face too much)!

So having paper towels in the bathroom doesn’t collects bacteria, but having a towel does? 🤔 According to doctors and derms a CLEAN towel is enough. Why use reusable cotton pads and use wasteful paper towels? I agree with the simple routine, but not with the paper towels. It’s wasteful and its equally good as using a CLEAN towel.
@GetWellSoonR.E.M.
@GetWellSoonR.E.M. Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I prefer a clean towel anyways. A lot of people tend to repeatedly use the same towel and that contributes a lot to acne and texture

she did say she uses reusable cotton rounds, and the comparison wasnt to clean towels, it was to a "towel thats just been sitting in your bathroom for a few days". i feel like you are getting mad at her for an argument she didnt make....
@haileybetancourt4115
@haileybetancourt4115 Жыл бұрын
obviously using a damp towel after letting it sit out would have more bacteria than a paper towel that’s what she means and a lot of people don’t clean them after every single use.I’ve also heard derms say towels gather a a lot of bacteria.So her point is very valid lol

I think hair also contributes to this. Dirty pillow covers, sheets and yes even your blanket. If your hair is greasy and is always falling on your face, it's bound to contribute to some of the pore clogging on your face.

i don’t think that you’re from my country so i can’t recommend what i use since the product only exists in my country but what i can say is that the less ingredients the cleanser has the better. my cleanser contains glycerin, panthenol and bisabolol (and some other ingredients ofc) which can really help the skin! glycerin gives moisture, panthenol as well + it strengthens the natural skin barrier, bisabolol calms the skin. you can google all these ingredients and read about them if you are interested:)

I use paper towels. I got that hack years ago from acne videos, which has either helped other get rid of acne or cut it down. Unfirtunately, it did nithing for mem but I still do it due to hygeine. Sulfur as an ingredient, specifically Sulfur soap bar saved me. Proactive also has a white mask/spot treatment with sulfur that has helped before, but the soap at $5-$6 was the real hero.

I took all this advice and put it in action I wore sunscreen diligently like a fanatic, used retinol and salicylic on alternate days yet my texture got worse. All my products are noncomedogenic and oil free. I wore sunscreen through out my 4 years of uni and have even worse skin now. meanwhile my friends who never wore it have the smoothest perfect skin. It depresses me so much.

Am 52 papertowels aint good for your face either and the fibres clogs in your poores in your face and papers is like cotton swabs is to harsh to use in your face. Unless you not want to do an extra scrubbing. Use an small microtowel and pat your skin dry, not rub it and throw it in the washer after used it. I have loads of small soft Micro cloths i buy in the shop (used for tidy house) i use everyday for cleaning my face when i need to rid dead skin as well dry my face with patting my face dry.
