Welcome to Part 6 of my video series on the B&T APC308 Semi Auto rifle
Join me on Patreon for additional content: / armandgun
Why I ask for support through Patreon:
I love the firearms community and am thrilled to be able to give back to it by way of producing content for it. I want to both continue my pace of content production as well as improve its quality, all while adding to its diversity (shooting for accuracy videos, destructive target testing, high speed / slow motion, etc).
Appearances aside, I am not just some rich guy with a ton of guns. I had a good job and ideal set of circumstances for a few years that allowed me to invest heavily in building up a sizeable collection. Those circumstances are changing, and now I am turning to the community to help continue to make this channel exciting and successful. Your help and support are greatly appreciated.
All funds received by KZfaq (very insignificant as firearms videos are largely demonetized) and by supporters via Patreon are to be reinvested into this channel in the following ways:
- Purchase and import of new feature firearms/gear: Being in Canada, it is often difficult for manufacturers/distributors to send me firearms for testing and review. Instead, I often have to purchase them personally, and in some cases even import them into the country.
- Ammunition: It takes funds to run the guns enough to be able to get a good overall impression for an accurate review.
- Production value: I am always looking to add better camera and lighting gear to be able to improve the final product you see.
- Range and targets: from more static steel targets, to future destructive target testing.
- Travel to distributors/manufacturers/industry shows to get the content on the latest and greatest

This video is part of a multi-video set featuring the B&T APC308
Special thanks to Wolverine Supplies and Tyson Lobreau for sending me the gun to demo.
Part 1: First Look at the firearm. “Unboxing-ish"
Part 2: Intro to the APC308
Part 3: POV Shooting (FPS style shooting video showing the gun in action, demonstrating the controls and ergonomics of the rifle, as well as any modifications I have done to the gun)
Part 4: Overview of the firearm including design detail, function and features
Part 5: Disassembly and review of key internal features
Part 6: Outfitting your APC308 as a DMR, Combat rifle, and PDW
Part 7: Shooting for Accuracy (coming at a later date)
Part 8+: TBD
Thanks for tuning in! Lots more coming. I would appreciate your subscription as I hope to improve the level of content as the channel grows.
Correction Section:
Hit me up in the comments or send me an email to point out anything I messed up. I will add notes here.
APC308 Technical Specs:
- Calibre: .308 (7.62x51mm)
- Operating: Locked, rotating bolt, gas piston operated
- Modes of fire: Semi auto only
- Magazine Capacity: 5 - 20 (only 5 in Canada due to restrictive magazine limit laws)
- Sights: B&T flip up sights
- Barrel Length: 480mm / 18.9"
- Barrel Twist: 1:12"
- Overall Length min/max: 811-1027mm / 31.9-40.0"
- Weight (with flip up sights and empty mag): 4.8kg / 10.58lbs
- Flash Hider features a Rotax 2A interface
B&T also produces a 13" carbine APC308. It comes in at a reduced weight of 8.6lbs. An APC308 will typically come out of the box with the following: Two 20-round magazines, vertical foregrip, cleaning kit, sling, case, manual. The APC308 is considered Non-Restricted based on barrel length, meaning that with a 18.5"+ barrel it is legal to own with a PAL and can be shot wherever it is legal to discharge firearms. The FAMAE 542 featured at the end is in the same category. The USW and APC223 SBR are both restricteds. The USW, because it is a handgun and therefore automatically restricted, and the APC223 because it has a barrel shorter than 18.5". They both require a RPAL to possess and in addition to being registered in a federal database, have addition storage, transport, sale, and discharge restrictions.

Thanks a lot Shane. The ZCO is incredible. I am very impressed. Regrettably I have not had a chance to test out a TT yet. I have heard from reputable sources though that they are still one of the very best, along with ZCO and Hensoldt. TT is stated to still have the best overall turrets, but comes in at a higher price point than the ZCO.

I'm curious what you think about the cz bren 2ms guns. I got a 14 inch 7.62×39 that ive turned into a rifle by welding my yhm resonator mount to the end for over all length requirements. Luckily I havent had any of the problems other people have had with the gas system. I had a firing pin break that I'm waiting for them to replace, but besides that I love it. So easy to bump fire from the shoulder for shits and giggles.

Honestly brother, the APC 223 doesn't remind me of an old H&K nearly as much as a FN SCAR. A WAAAAAY MORE attractive SCAR, that is lol. Seriously though, if you don't have one to compare with, look up a picture of both and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. The SCAR looks a little more like a squared off M4/AR-15 at the end of the day though. The APC doesn't look so much like a M4/AR-15 and seem's to look like a different design altogether (despite similarities between the SCAR). To me, the APC .308 looks like a proper "new gen" combat rifle mixed with a little sniper. It's so tanky in appearance that it looks like it can shoot a 338 Lapua or 50 bmg haha.

I know this is a little off topic but I need some advice. If you had to choose a home PDW, would you go with a USW or a TP9 or an APC9? I do want something compact that suppresses well. I also thought about an APC in 45.

Bro the guns are beautiful and serious. However, I think you can find accessories that aesthetically suit the APC better. For example, the cylindrical red dot doesn't aesthetically blend or sit flushed with the rectangular/blocky shape of the firearm.

The quality is undoubtedly there, but I'm curious how well these hold up to abuse and reliability tests. I'm trying to choose a 308 DMR. This, G28 or L129A1
@armandgun
@armandgun 4 жыл бұрын
I'll keep shooting the APC and provide updates for as long as I have one. The G28 is a tank, but it's a little overweight. The USA selected it after it went on a diet and became the CSASS M110A1. The L129A1 also needed a diet. LMT now produces it with a mloc upper that I am currently eyeing up. It does have a solid barrel change system. I had a L129A1 briefly and did a little content on it. Just never posted it. I might do that pretty soon here though. So far I have been the most impressed with this APC. Just needs a non reciprocating action. You might want to look into the XCR-M as well.
@SkintSNIPER262

Yeah, the weight of the G28 is mainly why I'm looking into the other two. Plus the APC has NR status. I look forward to future updates!

@ravissary79
@ravissary79 3 жыл бұрын
Is the barrel easy to change? Something like this in a 12" with a quick change but solid lockup barrel, and paired with a good brace that's legal in the USA, like the PDW style... that seems like it'd be a great option.
@armandgun
@armandgun 3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t changed this one yet myself. I don’t expect it’s too difficult. What you’re describing though is the ACR, which are pretty awesome guns. @@armandgun huh, cool. Personally I'd be VERY happy with a beretta ARX 200, true... no nonreciprocating charging handle, but light weight, quick change barrel and very smart/ robust use of polymer. But the ACR is a more attractive design, to be sure.
