To the contrary of the comments written by angry lizards on their ceremonial performance... I think the lads here put in a sterling effort considering their (at the time of the parade) recent return from Afghanistan. Top lads.

They're also marching at "rifle pace". That's too fast for the precision and swinging arms to shoulder height one sees at the King's Birthday Parade on Horse Guards.

John Pickford Thank you for your kind words concerning The Bi Centenary Parade by 1st Batt KRRC !! I must thank the Boys back from Afghanistan . Well done we are proud of you ! I would not expect a high standard of drill after your active service efforts just a few days ago ! And we had months of rehearsal . And let me point out that our rifles helped with our Dressing , the muzzle overlapped the butt of the man ahead . Plus we were ordered to Swagger!! The grass cancelled out the crash of our steel studded boots !! Pity !! Thanks again to the Chaps !! Incedently , our average age was 19 and our weight was around 10 Stones ! The Rifles now are such Big lumps I dought we could handle them close up !! 90 per cent of our boys were National Service .

Why are you whining about, I'm sure these gentlemen would of upped their game if they knew that you were viewing this vid. Considering they have returned from active duty, I really doubt they would of bothered with perfecting drill performance just for you. You should be proud of these men, instead of negative type remarks, WELL DONE MEN👍👌👍👏

I am married to an ex 3RGJ have been for 20 years and even though he suffers from PTSD and is messed up in the head he’d go back out anywhere to serve his country again leaving myself and his 6 children knowing he may not return. Anyone got owt to say please feel free to contact me, you seriously have no idea. Oh and this is after he has had bowl cancer!!! 🖕🏻 ungrateful t**t’s. Yes I am absolutely gutted she wants to be a front line medic, so how many of you ungrateful little minded negative people can say anything about the way they are marching or doing anything else, I really do not know. If you like I can and will share your thoughts and comments on all the military sites that I am a part of. Absolute imbeciles 🥺

It was actually in the Rifles dress regs. When I was RGJ it was a very RGJ thing, but unofficial, then it was added as a form of dress, current regs show “not outside barracks.” RGJ-no two officers dressed the same and the whole regiment had to be different to the rest of the army!

@@tonycooper633 Many of these regiments were line regiments not Light Infantry, The RGBW&DD were line regiments and only LI for a short period off time before becoming part of the Rifles Super Regiment, These regiments would come out of a combat situation and within days would appear on parade in smart and tidy manner, or would answer for their sloppiness.
