July 14th is often synonymous with sunshine, a bank holiday celebrated on the Champs, and accompanied by a beautiful mountain stage. On 14 July 2019, however, Roger Federer's fans had nothing to celebrate and the scorching heat of a hot July was not enough to dry their tears. That evening, after an anthological battle against Novak Djokovic, and almost 5 hours of magnificent tennis that crowned one of the most beautiful rivalries in the history of the sport, the Swiss was defeated. 4 hours and 55 minutes, a new record for a Wimbledon final after the 4 hours and 48 minutes of his final against Rafa in 2008. But Roger lost. His last forehand gave us a Ramos 2012, up in the stars, the ball never came back and the opportunity of a last Grand Slam with it. Interview Roger. Up there, the tennis gods have realised it's almost over, down there, Roger stares into space and sees the Serbian getting closer and closer to his record of Grand Slam titles. This Hall of Fame final was the last of the 38-year-old Roger's career. So, a few days before the start of Roland Garros, it was necessary to pay tribute to the king, the maestro, one of the greatest sportsmen in history, to the one who is for many the prophet of his discipline.
