I’m planning to hand copy the Bible. It’ll take me more than a year. I’m trying to chop it all the way down to daily goals.

QMWD and GAP let you break down big goals into smaller and smaller steps, time protected 1. QMWD: Quarter, Month, Week, Day -> breakdown big goals (10-12 weeks) into... monthly milestones (3 per Q): major step in big goal weekly deliverables (4 per W): smaller, manageable, measurable goals to achieve milestone daily actions (gap method) 2. GAP: Goal, Actions, Protect time Weekly deliverable -> primary goal broken down into actions, protect time for them 3. Productivity Flywheel: virtuous cycle, answer 4 core questions about project/goal (adapts to multiple levels/layers) WHAT is it? --> WHEN are you going to do it, and for how long? --> HOW are you going to use your ideas and information? (procedures, resources,...) --> WITH what tools? (software, physical tools,...) --> back to 'WHAT'

Thank you Matt for this nice video. I have been into keeping track of daily tasks, reviewing weekly and monthly but what was missing in my 'system' is that I did not connect day to day activities with the larger goals that I set in the beginning of the year. This QMWD framework really helps and is a good add-on to my systems when combined with the weekly review to review how it went the previous week and planning for the next week :)

Thank you for all of these videos! They have inspired me and helped me a lot already :) It might be me that´s too tired to understand, but I am uncertain about when to use the flightwheel? Would you begin there or would you use it after you have set your goals in QMWD / GAP?

The Flywheel can be used as descriptive tool "how do I design my workflow" or prescriptive "how do I identify what I need to improve?" For example, the QMWD framework is a part of the "Action" category of the Flywheel and can be used to design a long-term goal. Then you decide how much time you're able to commit to the goal(s), etc etc. Does that help?

Matt I always enjoy any video f yours that I watch and this one didn’t disappoint because it was a really interesting video. I know you were only using the KZfaq Quarterly Goal as an example but I would be interested to know what you would have put in as the weekly deliverables for the publish element of the monthly Goals.

I live in DK / Europe, so I too was wondering if you might be able to record it and send it afterwards or otherwise make it available? Have already signed up, so I just hope my daughter sleeps at that time ;)
