Three Techniques to turn at 360 degrees on an electric unicycle

Method 3 involves lowering your body in order to bend your outer knee. This creates the best range of movement for your legs and hips to turn. It's very closely related to sitting on the EUC, in fact, it's one degree away from sitting. Making your body smaller provides the conservation of momentum needed for that quick turn. There is also a fourth method, and that is turning your hips hard so that the entire EUC twists on its wheel. As your arms go one way, the hips twist the entire EUC the other way. You can do this turn from a dead stop, during a pendulum or in conjunction with Method 3. Some people are very adept at this and can spin like a ballerina in place.

Yes, I completely agree with you 👍 Thank you for the excellent clarification. Method 4 also represents the basic movement for drifting 😉 I will make new videos as soon as my wheel is fixed. My master has been broken for almost 2 months 😔 still waiting on new mobo to arrive as a wrong one was initially sent.

@@alexiszakariene wow 2 months, hope you bought it from a reputable seller. IN any event, I think probably the only model where you can turn, twist or carve in any way you want is the Mten3 or Mten4. At the end, it's all about changing the pressures on the pedal from one side or the other that will make the EUC turn. The last point I wanted to stress is always maintain proper tire pressure. Without good tire pressure, you have to deal with more rolling resistance. Your turns will feel flat and less round and more difficult.

Yes, you are spot on. I think it is possible to apply method 4 also with heavier wheel on terrains like loose gravel and sand. Yes, I did buy my molicel master from a reputable seller. The problem was Begode sending the wrong motherboard. 3 weeks to ship, then other 3+ weeks for return and processing. Then hopefully this time around I will receive the correct one. 3+ weeks wait again. I am fed up with Begode. I am going to sell my master and I have cancelled my extreme preorder. I am going to buy a Sherman S next. not sure if going for the 100v system or wait for the 126v. I had the Sherman max and although not the same level of performance as a Begode wheel, definitely more reliable. Looking forward to switching to Leaparkim.

Alexis - you have been consistent in providing content that has been missing in the EUC space; ride techniques. Keep this up. There are hardly any good videos on the subject and here is yet another prime example of a great technique video.

I just learned if you do off road and tilt euc to side hard you need to change tilt setting in app to high otherwise you will get cut out. If you ride street and no hard cornering maybe you are fine. This thing has settings and no instructions just utubers warning u from their mistakes. Much thanks to all u content providers!

So what actually is hard mode and what is the difference between them? My mten3 has no difference when I changed the settings. Yet I assume a master would have significant change.
@alexiszakariene
@alexiszakariene Жыл бұрын
The riding mode is reflected by the number on the screen of your master. 1 is soft, 2 is medium, 3 is hard. It can be changed on the begode app or eucworld. I use mainly euc world so it would be under wheel settings then press riding mode and from there you can change hard, medium or soft. Hard mode is more responsive to brake but more difficult to accelerate. Medium is a feel in between soft and hard. Soft is a pedal assist where the pedal tilts either back or forward following your input but it takes a few seconds before they reach the position so it feels less responsive but easier to accelarate and possibly turn for instance. Even after 1.5 year of riding unfortunately I still don't know how to ride in soft mode as I have never felt the need to do so but one of my resolutions for this year will be to definitely learn this skill too 🙌😊 Once you get your master, let me know which mode of riding you prefer, I d be interested to have your input on the matter 👍

@@alexiszakariene For sure. Thanks for your info. Im guessing Im a hard setting person. The only assist I like is aim assist in GTA lol. So hard mode you can lean forward like crazy? I am overpowering my mten3 already, tiltback feels so odd.

🙌 😁 yes on master with c38 torque 3500w motor and high voltage we can lean like crazy indeed up to 80 / 70% battery level... still be careful please 😉 🙏

The key is just right amount of speed, not foot positions.
@alexiszakariene
@alexiszakariene Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's explained in method 3 😊 However there are situations where speed might be an issue, such as turning sharply along with pedestrians in a shared path, so knowing how to turn sharply without the need for speed, I think it could be helpful too.

I'm sorry this is horrible advice. You beginner people learning how to ride an EUC; this is not how you do it. She may do it like that, and that's cool, but advising others to move their feet around on the pedals to turn is just wrong. Are there any EUC riders that disagrees with me?
@alexiszakariene
@alexiszakariene Жыл бұрын
I agree, infact this video is not aimed at beginners but more at intermediate level riders. I have done a video on how to turn for beginners too about a month ago. I respect your view. You made me think of something: It might be different for people riding in medium or soft mode. I shall learn how to ride in soft mode asap and see how it changes the ways of turning 🧐

I gave her a hard time too in her last video. Since, I have came to learn that she’s just trying to help. That’s good enough for me. To be honest, riding is a personal experience, no matter what video you watch, everyone has their uniqueness when riding.

Ride your own ride means do it your way and dont copy others. For those seeking info to better their skills then all are welcome if you ask me. You gotta try it to see if it works for you. What beginner starts on a master? That I would find horrible advice lol. I mean its in the name its called the master not the beginner... All opinions are welcome it shows student riders which school of thought would fit their style the best. I thought the tether system was a horrible idea. Yet watching crash vids and people who use tethers and why it kinda makes sense. Its to drop the wheel so it doesnt keep moving or tumbling out of control. But the tether would need a proper breaking point so you dont get injured or atleast minimize injury. I mean who rides any ride to be safe, its about being free and surviving the chaos.
