Tennessee Baseball and Florida Baseball wrapped up their weekend series during the 2024 College Baseball Season.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.

The best part of my work as a KZfaqr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other KZfaqrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

0:20 is just insanely ridiculous, it wouldn't have mattered if he was Inside the bag or not a collision in that situation literally can not be avoided due to how much the 1st baseman is crowding the bag.

WHAT IS HE SUPPOSED TO DO?? Run to the pitchers mound and back door-access 1st Base that way?? Heck, if I were a 1st Baseman, I would just stand, facing home-plate on every ground ball, whereby blocking the base-runner’s access to 1st Base completely. That would guarantee that you get an automatic out every time. That has to be THE MOST INSANE rule I’ve ever seen. It literally makes NO SENSE!

@@plantmillionsofteees5676 If you look at the baseline between home and first base, you will see that there is an area drawn as a long rectangle that starts about 2/3rds of the way up the line. The runner should be in that lane on the right side of the baseline. That is the rule required position. Moore was not on the right side of the baseline, he was on the left side of it and the rule was applied properly.

It’s a simple rule… all the runner has to do is stay to the right of the line through the bag, he impeded with the play by being inside 🤦🏻‍♂️

It still sucked, they wouldn't even say Blake Burkes name at one point and when florida was batting, our pitcher "aLmOsT" hit them so many times(clearly didn't) but yea, better than Kentuckys, but still wasn't that great.

Fun fact in that 6th before that inning the vols scored 11 runs in the whole series before that inning they scored 11 in that inning

On the second game of the series Florida's pitching was clearly focusing on the outside corner and even higher than a normal call would get. The umpire was a pitchers umpire calling nearly everyone of Florida's outside and up pitches as strikes. He was doing the same for Tennessee's pitchers when they could throw that (but in reality they werent strikes they were high for both teams). But Florida's pithcer just kept going to it and the umpire kept giving it to them. Tennessee's hitters (nor really any hitter can hit those high and outside its nearly impossible). But if the ump is calling them then keep throwing it until he's not. That IMO was why Tennessee got beat on the second game. Tennessee can destroy anything else particularly anything inside. The ump was consistent on those hgih and outside calls for both teams Tennessee pitching just didnt attack it like Florida. But Florida ran out of pitchers in the 3rd game and Tennessee put the pressure on hard.

I still say Cags is probably the best all around player this year honestly. His pitching is fantastic and he's obviously a great batter. But CMo is absolutely lights out at the plate and does a good enough job on defense to be in the conversation.

@@thomasmint1761 According to the US News and World Report UF is ranked #6 in public schools, whereas UT was ranked #51. Not even in the ballpark. More trusted source as well. Feel free to use any others as well, aside from the select one you provided - the academics and institution itself is unmatched. It's the best public school in the SEC, let alone even trying to compare lowly TN to them. As far as athletics go, UF also blows TN out of the water in the overall championships and national titles across ALL sports on campus. Your basketball team alone has never made a Final 4 - which means no national title to speak of either. The baseball team has never won the CWS Title. I'm sure there's several more sports on UT's campus in the same boat. That's not the case at UF. I understand being happy about a regular season win, but no need to falsify what can easily be searched online if you're willing. Good luck the rest of the way!

Btw, Fla is one of only 6 universities in America with a law school, a med school and a Vet school on the same campus. 3 Nat'l Football championships since '97. 2 NCS in basketball in '06 and '07 and a National Championship in baseball in 2017 with 2 runner ups under Kevin O'Sullivan. When did UT win ANY of these again? Oh yeah, way back in '88. Once. Lay off the corn squeezins. Even Ol' Smokey is shaking his head.

Everything about TN is poverty. The school, the athletic department, the fans, etc. FL’s baseball program has postseason success, titles, and draft picks far exceeding TN. Not even close. Seems like you’re still lost in the woods. You can always count on Vol fans for their low IQ and stupidity 👍

I listened to Tony V's post-game and he said that Villeneuve has had more success with the way the pitching was going, but he did really good at the beginning of the season, but lately seems to strike out a lot.... he was just trying something different at that point and apparently it really doesn't matter now, he could have put Kirby into DH 😭😭

Vols can choke at any moment like they did in ‘22 when they didn’t make it out of their own regional. They should have lost to Clemson last year in the regional if not for a miracle. The runner only gets one step, stride, or slide out of the running lane to touch first base. That was at least two or three steps coupled with impeding the fielder's ability to field the throw. Good call by the home plate umpire.
