Brilliant Stephen. So glad you made this video. I am in the situation where practising on a set is impossible. All I have is a drumpad and your lesson is valuable gems for me. Thank you very much

Thank you Stephen, thanks to you my pasion to drums is reborn. Again I am practicing a lot every day, and you gave me a motivation to win with some issues in my privat live, and do everything to play drums, and to make an opportunity to do it. Thank you very much, best regards. :)

This is great, I recently had a group jam and a drummer friend who I've always taken as More technically advanced then I had blisters on his fingers 30 minutes before we finished. I was switching between vocals and sitting in at the kit and I could see him watching my lack of exertion and stress free playing. I was very pleased with myself and felt sad for him. This stuff works ,no if's and no buts

Loving all the lessons. Bought Alesis Crimson II back in August. Haven't touched until now. I'm a guitarist who's tired of not having a drummer to write with and wanna play gigs. Gotta get my weak hand strong and work on my kick foot.

Another great video! Thanks! Now, do you recommend first practicing with one hand at a time for a while to really observe what that hand does and only then start alternating hands?

I bought a pair of junior drum sticks to use in the car when I'm parked for a few minutes. They're smaller so you can use your steering wheel as a practice pad.

You either have balls or you're just plain inconsiderate if you're playing an acoustic kit in an apartment lol. I live in the mountains like 300 yards away from my closest neighbor and I still worry if I'm playing too loud
@gideonk123
@gideonk123 2 жыл бұрын
Well, in the mountains, your own safety may depend on being considerate too: Son bear: Mommy, what’s that loud rhythmic thing? Momma bear: Jim, I think you need to remind wannabe drummer we live here too… Papa bear: Yeah, I’ll go over and “talk” to him. I’ll be gentle this time.
