been wearing mine all summer, even took them on a trip to Italy and wore them almost everyday. I found the comfort to be surprisingly amazing. Also yes I think the samba will def drop off as THE sneaker of the moment but sambas will always be a good go to, similar to AF1s level in terms of ubiquity and history.

I live sambas and have 4 pairs. They fit me like a glove so they’re comfortable for all day wear to me. You can always switch out the insoles with a more cushiony insole for more comfort as well. They also go well w pretty much everything so ill be wearing/buying them forever 🤙🏽

I have a wider foot and own a pair of Samba Classics and tbh, i only notice the narrowness of it if i put them on after wearing wider shoes for a while. Id definitely recommend trying them on first just so you know what you personally are comfortable with though. Going half a size up should do the trick though, but if you have a particularly short but wide foot you might find it too long so it's best to try it yourself if possible

I’ve been wearing my pair of Margiela GAT’s during the entire summer break…always have preferred a slimmer shoe silhouette, would love it if Nike rereleased the OG leather cut of the Nike Bruin ✌️

Been a samba wear-er for years, and i have never found another shoe that fits me better - i have now and forever will base shoe sizing off of my sambas

If you have wide feet I would recommend you pass up on the Sambas. They were made to have a snug fit for the purpose that they were made for. Even if you go a half size up the snug fit will still be there.

Please note- the Samba classic and OG differ pretty significantly in terms of arch support. The classics have a very high arch padding under the insole, which I ended up removing due to pain from it (which is very easy to do, it just peels off).

Sambas are Adidas' classic GAT (German Army Trainers) sneakers. It's never going to go "out of style." People will naturally move onto hype stuff and new trends, but its a classic for a reason. The design is essentially timeless.

I just ordered these from the Juventus Team because they were the only ones who carried the OG Samba in black leather, white sole, and white stripes in men’s sizes. Adidas only sells that color combination in kids sizes according to their website (which is odd). I ordered my shoes from Juventus on Thursday (from Italy) and I got them today with the cheap shipping option (only $16). I was super impressed.

4:31 its summer 2024, and sambas are everywhere here in Taipei, not sure of the US in general Adidas is super popular here in Taiwan. you see plenty of dunks, but for every pair of dunks you will see like ten pairs of sambas. stan smiths and superstars are also quite popular.

Half size up for wide feet in og in leather but true to size in suede or fabric in my experience I have had about 7 pairs over the years and have wide feet I love them

I've never owned a pair since I wasn't really ever much of a soccer player but my favorite Adidas shoes in this realm/style that I prefer and have had for over 4 years now are the Adidas Top Ten which has that classic Adidas look just in a high top, and the Adidas MatchCourt particularly in the slip-on Na-Kel Smith collab but any version of the MatchCourt with the rubber toe cap just works for me.

i got the normal leather og version. the comfort is just ok in my opinion, nothing too special. they have a pretty weird feel to them, it feels like youre walking on cork. theres barely any padding but it has nice structure. it can crease up pretty weirdly like mine did, where the mud gard suede part is partly just forming a mountain on my foot. the tounge may hurt after a while because it kind of digs into your shins. a very big problem sambas have is that they really like to squeech when walking. they always do this, my dads also do this, and i personally think it can get very annoying. all in all its a pretty good shoe to just wear around, since its also very versatile. in my personal opinion and my concept of how you develop a perfect wardrobe, you should always get shoes that are adjacent to your style. for example you like nu metal / 2000s skater fashion, wear osiris d3s, not sambas. stuff like that. i think shoes are very important for personal style so you shouldnt follow trends in this regard.

Used to rock Sambas as a teen, loved them to pieces. I may buy a new pair, I think this shoe does have a timeless appeal.

Love my Sambas! I have the vegan leather black same as yours. Super comfortable for me, I’ve lived in them over the past few months though went up half a size in the white. The black was true to size in an 8/41. The white vegan leather I had to break in with blisters, the black soft and comfy straight out the box! I sold the white and just purchased the white Samba Decons black, white and gold. The leather is SO soft, I hope they have some structure around my feet! Got the navy/cream stripe colourway on my wish list…🫣

I seem to really enjoy wearing and styling the designer counterpart of this shoe, the Margiela replica's/GAT's. I aquired my first pair approximately 3 years ago and my second pair in January. Safe to say they are my favourite shoe of all time: they're clean and are made from grade A quality materials which make for a long-lasting lifespan. As other silhouettes have come and gone, few have stood the test of time in terms of my personal style and the Margiela's are on of them

Sambas are my favorite sneakers from the childhood. I have pair of black ones for 6 years and blue special for 8. Before i had more pares. Not long ago i got original GAT for the reason the white ones were not avalable in leather in Germany. Now when it is mainstream i cache my self waring them way less. But on the other hand im in to GYW boots now so that influences the ware time. I do enjoy how special models are in really nice leather and that Adidas uses CF Stead leather a lot. Also Samba premium is something i will probably venture in

I have wide and high arching feet, and I got TTS on my gazelles and they fit pretty nicely. Wouldn’t want a different size. I’m sure they’re not 100% the same as sambas, but should be a good point of reference if you’re in the same boat as me

there's different version/builds of the samba. The skate ADV version, the Originals version, the classic big tongue indoor soccer, short tongue leather version, etc. I used to play indoor soccer with the classic big tongue ones and not long ago you could get them for like $50 on sale. The skate ADV has a slightly stiffer heelcup and lasting board. the OG big tongue has an arch support pillow in the insole and a cheaper heel liner that is fuzzy. Your orange pair is part of an all suede ADV OG drop where they dropped several all suede colors(I have the blue one). I personally don't care for the fashion collabs as I was THAT soccer and skate kid that would wear soccer jerseys and the big tongue classics to school. I hope they go out of trend quickly so I can get em below $90 again lol. Happy samba-ing!

I’m 37, I grew up riding bmx and the Sambas were a staple in my shoe lineup. I’ve had 20-30 pair of adidas sambas. My feet are insanely wide. I wear a 10 in some shoes and a 10 1/2 in others. I’ve always bought 10 1/2’s and they fit like a glove. The Adidas Samba is my staple shoe. Of course I have hundreds of pairs of vans and I’m always rocking my checked slip-on. The older adidas used to have a tad lighter gum colored sole. I’ve noticed they have made the “gum” colored sole on the “staple” black and white adidas a bit darker than the ones I’ve worn as a kid and the ones I’ve owned and worn until this day. I like to rock my laces a bit loose, then I tie the laces and and put them over the tongue and into the shoe. Still fit more than tight enough for anything I do including still riding bmx. This is how I’ve always worn them. I’ve worn the classics and what I would do with the long tongue is actually flip it inside the shoes so that it looks like a normal tongue. Takes a bit for the tongue to crease while being on the inside of the shoe. ALSO you mention Nike socks with adidas shoes. Also, only rock black socks with the common colors of the OG sambas. The orange pair you gave away id rock with s super nice pair of some black socks that i like and honestly those are the first pair of sambas I’d even think about rocking a white sock with. Especially backing the day when the OG duckies were still made, the ones where you could cut the fold in the back to give yourself another inch or two on the waste as duckies have always ran small asf. Shoutout to all the homies who know about those dickies and used wear them as pants in the winter and cut the bottoms off in the summer to turn them into shorts. Although we were rocking longer shorts back in the summer late 90’s and early 2000’s, you always gotta leave room for your long socks to still have enough room for the socks to be pulled all the way up and the dickies cut high enough to where you still had a few inches of your leg that showed between the top of the socks and the bottom of the dickies. We used to sag our dickies just a bit as it’s way more comfortable than people who have never worn their pants like that. Once you get used to it, it’s almost impossible to wear your dickies, even jeans normal again. Now that I’m older, oh course I still rock dickies. I buy 5-10 pairs at a time of what they consider this day and age to be the same “old school dickies” as the ones I grew up wearing. They definitely look the same but there’s no hem in the back of them to folded over to cut to make them a bit more comfortable. Anyways so I buy 5-10 pairs at a time and take them to my amazing tailor and I don’t even need to tell him how I want them tailored anymore. I get them tapered so they are not baggy asf and I only rock my dickies about 4-5” above my ankle. So tapered to my body size, which is called a slim fit pair of OG dickies and have them hemmed I don’t even know how much as when ordering your dickies you can choose the inseam which makes them that much easier for my tailor to work his magic. Then with my hemmed dickies I rock non-visible socks or some pairs i dedicate to not even wearing socks at all. It’s insane how comfortable they are with no socks. A guide on how to wear dickies! Oh and also, don’t ever buy dickie shorts. Again, if you want shorts buy the OG dickies with that have only the dickies branding on the back above the upper right back pocket. If there’s branding anywhere else, or a pocket or a loop then those are not the OG dickies. Also, they have a huge break in period until they go from feeling like cardboard to being as soft as cotton. Once they are broken in they fit and feel amazing.

I had royal blue gazelles and black sambas in 75....a million years ago...had the A track suit in royal...so drip back when ya mommas and daddy's might have been around.

I personally don't own a pair of Adidas Sambas, however, it was because I am still rocking the Adidas continental 80's. A great pair of shoes that also has that classic adidas look. I personally enjoy those shoes so much and the leather has molded to my foot perfectly.

The blue label from like 2017 was a perfect fit for my wide feet, I have the same classic pair you do now and they’re a little more narrow. Still, they get the job done 💪🏼

I'm gonna say that its timeless which might be an unpopular opinion just because its soo versatile and can be worn in every situation other than a funearl or wedding, meaning you can dress them way up or obviously down. But I'm from Oslo and Tokyo so idk how the shoe is viewed in the usa.

My feet are of average width but I'm very particular about the fit and toe shape, had one and a half size up, the shoe length has the my feet occasionally slipping but the toe box is much better. Most of my previous everyday shoes have a wider, more square toebox so that checks out.

i almost gave up on wearing adidas shoes since i always always wear size 8/ 26 in japan. but whenever i try to put on a pair of adidas, its just too tight for me. then i tried a half size up and it actually fits better for me. so i finally picked up a pair of sambas, since it isn't too popular in japan. i got the all black, with gum sole and white stripes. i reminds me so much of a soccer shoe ngl. i also wanted a pair of campus. so i might pick up a pair in the future. i always loved the look of the campus.

#PVV I own a pair of sambas; I've owned mine since 2018. When I first learned about them was back in 2013 when one of my teachers wore them. I was 11 at the time so I couldn't really buy a pair myself, so when I was 16 I finally got a pair and I have loved them ever since.

If you have low arches, id suggest to wear an insole with the sambas for maximum comfort

Samba Classic/ADV have better support through the sole as well. Samba OG gets prettty flimsy once broken in by comparision. I prefer the short tongue Samba Classic personally for this reason

I did find a little discomfort because of the flatness but that didn’t last long…I’ve worn them many times and I just love styling them with different outfits I plan I getting the OG black Sambas too! Worn samba most of my life ,will never go out of fashion for the simple reason there are classic. Also should try the samba super been a classic for years,in North of England mostly 😂😂. Fun fact samba first came out in 1950.

My problem is with sizing - each website selling those offers a different size table from the one posted on the official adidas site. I am so confused and I thought you might help me - his foot size is 27 cm, he wears shoe sizes with 28 cm sole length. Which size Samba OG should I order? Thank you for the advice!!!

I’ve had the cycling version with Shimano clips for a couple years or more now and they look great and are comfy out of saddle. I finally ordered some OGs after decades since my last pair. I don’t care about the trend timeline;)

from what I remember, the samba classics have almost a cotton like sock collar, where on the OGs it's leather. could be wrong but I think thats another difference.

Samba was one of Bob Marley's favorite sneakers and he even played futbool regularly with them. It's not very difficult to find a photo of him wearing one.

It’s really important to remember that people have different foot shape and surely, this will affect shoe selection. What you think is fairly comfortable for you, may not be the same for others. I hope that in the future, vloggers will talk briefly about the shape of their feet as well

I have wider feet and I bought the deconstructed version (or collapsible heel version) and it fits way better. The thinner, softer shoe body of the deconstructed version works well to accomodate my wider feet!

I went one size up with them as I have wide feet. I wanted the gazelle cuz I think they look better, but they were super uncomfortable. I see people say the gazelle fit better for wider feet but guess not.

I do have adidas copa nationale millennium, it has similar silhouette but suits for skateboarding, I love them but it is hard to find new one in white

#PVV. I love the Adidas Sambas because I've played football (soccer) since I learned to talk. They're very iconic and have a lot of football heritage. I currently own three different colorways. I got the classic black for $25, the OG white for $15, and the Chalky brown gum for $34. I've been lucky enough to get the all for significantly under retail and recently found out that the chalky brown goes for more than 7x what I got it for. The pair I love are the black Wales Bonner crotchet ones, but they are too far out my budget😭. I hope I get lucky🍀 and find them for under what they're selling for.

Classicly this is a futsal shoe or indoor soccer call it what you will. The huge ugly tounge on the classic verison is so the lace knot doesn't cause a mistake when kicking.

I have 15 pairs already 😅 I preffer OG version with stiffer leather. As you mentioned they are tide good for narrow foot. I noticed only one drawback . Shoes tend to squeak especially in the summer ( back of shoe ) but there is easy fix. Self adhesive leather like patch .
