Im still working at my first job since graduating midwifery school, but I am feeling very burnout already and have some issues with difference in scope at my practice ( I am the only CNM in a CPM group). I also am the youngest, african-american, without any children yet so I feel some of my coworkers are intimidated in a way and very passive aggressive.

So sorry you’re having this experience. I also had issues being young (started working as a Midwife at 25) and Black. And yes because I didn’t have children at the time, always expected to be available to work. I say start looking for something better. We are not obligated to stay where we are not valued

I'm just about to graduate with my CNM - taking the boards soon eeekkK! I have a job lined up so the pressure is on. I'm SO nervous to start my first job. I feel like I know nothing. How did you overcome fear and anxiety going into your first CNM job?

I really want to do a home birth, but I’m located in Baton Rouge and I’ve only found 3 that work at birthing centers. Any suggestions on how I can find a CNM willing to assist within my home?

This may sound silly but try searching on social media. Use hashtags like homebirthbatonrouge. Ask the birth center if they know of midwives who do home birth. Google home birth midwife in your area. Join a natural birth Facebook group in your area and ask who has had a home birth midwife
