plus with a mouse scroll wheel, holding the alt key and turning the scroll wheel forward or back zooms in and out of the timeline (instead of dragging the knobs of the scroll bar below).

It's so fantastic that there's an video on every little tip ant trick in premiere. I didn't really think I would get a hit on this one, wondering if there wasn't a way to move clips up and down without risking dragging them out of sync. But here it is!! Great job, and THANKS!! There's no trick that's too easy or common so that you can't make a vid about it. We're all beginners att some point! 😅

What about if the sound is off by half a frame? It jumps to each side and not where I want it. The synchronise is slightly off need half a frame

Try clicking on the bar menu on the panel and pick "Show Audio Time Units". Don't forget to change back when you've adjusted the clip.

This is actually helpful, but not what I was looking for. How do we move freely from frame-dependency? I need to move a video roughly about a quarter of a frame to match up with audio recorded separately, for example.

You should be able to right click on the timeline towards the top and select show audio time unit or something like that. That will open up your frames. Also, Deselect the magnet so it doesn't snap.

@@KYLERHOLLAND Again, this works for audio files, but not video files. Unfortunately the video cannot be cut at the same instances you can cut audio with this setting you speak of, at least in my case.

@@Agent_427 ahhh yeah the video would be limited to whatever frame rate you are editing in. Since moving a single frame is what you will visually see. For example 24 fps would have 24 frames every second. You can't break that because it wouldn't even playback in the free location you put the video if you could move freely.

@@KYLERHOLLAND yeah that’s my issue lol. I need like an extra quarter frame where I can’t afford one. Wish there was a way to code this manually with frame blending and just replace the parts that are missing essentially. Looks like the best option will be redoing audio manually in FL. Thanks.
