Did you know: If your Apple charger doesn't work anymore (broke, bent, etc...) you can just bring it back to the Apple Store and they will give you a new one for free! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Also, please don't hate if this doesn't work for you, because it has worked for myself several times, so this is just from experience😊

I literally break my chargers once every couple weeks and I rarely use them. My parents always accuse me of bending them all weird but I literally use them like anyone else and it bothers me so much

I have just been using The CableCast. Found it on Amazon and it's been doing a great job keeping my cable in tact - haven't changed a cable since my iPhone 5. Literally just search it. Worth every penny in my opinion

Make sure after you slide up the spring to unravel one or two loops at the bottom and leave it hanging: it'll keep the spring from sliding and moving up and down the charger 👍

when you first recieve the lightning cable use electrical tape found at hardware to tape around the area where it is easy to break. 2 rounds around the cable would do the job. (place at the area where the pen coil are placed in the video) you could use vinyl tape too. It help gives your cable some personality too (=

I have three phone chargers (one by my desk, one by my bed, one in my backpack) and I've never had problems with them, and one of them is like 2 years old already.

I've had an iPad for 5 years, and I still use the original charger, it's not broke or split or torn. You don't need tricks to keep your electronics in tact, you just need to be more fucking careful

My old chargers broke because they were too short and I would pull on them, so I went and got a 6 foot charger and it works perfectly and ive been using it since April 2014

I love how so many people in the comments are like "Get an Android!" I hope you realize Android based phones don't have chargers that are any better, the only real difference is the connector.

In the Philippines, we have this thing called cord protector, made of plastic which you can roll into the cable like the spring. It is so popular here and very cheap

That's why I love my One Plus.. The charging cable is flat so it doesn't twists and get tangled so less likely to ever break.. And it looks so cool too..

that last one you can buy cheap chargers that are made out of the same material and are harder to break. i have one and it works really well!

I used double sided tape and wrap around the cord, then wrap around it with sewing thread, Been using it for more than a year, never needed a new one.

I'm pretty sure I just broke my charger trying to do the spring one 😐🙄

I use molding plastic that starts out pliable and dries hard overnight. Works great.

Chargers and headphones are designed to NOT be wrapped tightly! With your cellphone charger, wrap it lose so the circle is roughly 1.5-2" in diameter. With laptop cords, leave 2 inches of wire before starting to LOOSELY wrap it around the brick - or, use some velcro to wrap it - also loosely, kind of like when you bought it. For headphones, I find (with the Samsung S4 headsets) if I use three fingers, and place the mic, volume/play piece in the middle, and loosely wrap it, I get the perfect wrap, and they headphones last me about a year per set. If I try to wrap them around the phone, or tighter than that, they last 2-3 months, max.

Heat shrinking tubes around the ends works great.

We have a colorful plastic version of those springs here in the Philippines. Keeps the charger from wearing a turtleneck. :))

I have one full proof way! Buy an Android. BOOM! Problem solved. 

All I do is just do the paracord trick with bracelet string. I use it on my earbuds too. You can use any color to make them unique and it adds some protection. I have an Android phone and all these work for any cord.

I did the spring coil trick, but put shrink tubing half way over it. So it's like double the protection.

I have the original iPad and I just got my first new charger replacement. After a while they all get worn out but, they shouldn't get worn out in at least year.
