1 and 2 is ok advice for beginners, but there are important exceptions. If you are into denim, you’d know that nothing looks better than denim which was bought raw or one-wash and actually worn in to the point it is full of distressing and whiskers. Pre-made whiskering looks bad in most cases. If you don’t have the patience to wear in your own jeans, next best bet is to find old naturally worn in jeans in the used market. As for the 2nd, its not really a thing. A lot of sartorially on-point people wear cotton pleated pants (and usually relaxed or full cut) and carry them off very well. Its about picking the rest of the outfit well - if you have a relaxed but well fitting linen or cotton shirt or wear a polo tucked in, they look superb. Especially with nicer shoes like loafers (I wouldn’t wear them with sneakers). No. 3 of course I completely agree with

It's 2024 and i still wear my "beat up" denim.

I understand the distressed denim one but for the second two, Math teachers tend to be smart alongside wise, something the pants would make you look like and pleats make the pants drape better for a more appropriate fit. As for workout clothes, you can never go wrong with an Adidas Tracksuit as it simply makes you look like a gangster or a gopnik.

I vowed when I retired I was gonna dress like a goombah and wear a track suit with gold chains everyday. A few more chains and I will have achieved that goal. 😊. Also, I threw out my “teacher pants” when I retired.

If you have to actually move in your job like I do, crawling around pulling cables the loose pleated golf slacks are great. They don't bind. They look professional. I totally agree about the jeans. If Goodwill won't take them you don't want to wear them.

I just wear work Jeans boots and a regular shirt. Sometimes different colored baseball shirts different colors no logo. Camo hat.. hip keys That's it I'll probably wear this till I die because we'll I don't really care about style because more important stuff in life.
