I like the fact they won’t get the gas button pressed in your pack loosing all the fuel. Great for 5 year storage in a kit.

Those are very good points. A lot of people are concerned about the button getting accidentally pressed in your pocket or pack as well. I forgot to mention these things. That's one reason why comments are so good. Thank you so much for yours.

The flamenest Bic lighter sleeves are much more compact and work just as well

Neat. Thank you so much for the tip. I found them on Amazon and the price is reasonable. But I'm not sure if it's more compact. I mean the top and the cap seems to be round which might cause the "pill bottle" effect I talked about in the video. A lot of times something flat or oblong fits more comfortably in the pocket. But I'd have to order one and compare the two. Maybe I will. Sounds like a good idea for a video. So thanks again for the quality comment.

@@DougShoeBushcraft I carry it every day and because its silicone it stays put in your pocket and doesn't move around. Try it out I have like 4 of them in my different kit bags. I haven't seen if they float or not maybe you could do a comparison video

Nice. I hope you like it. One experiment I want to try--- Harbor Freight sells what they market as a generic equivalent to J B Weld. I want to try gluing the blade in with that and see it if holds up.

Had a bic in my pocket, the button got pushed and a static spark set it off luckily the button was no longer being pressed but was scary

Wow. That could have been worse. I forgot to mention in the video that the lighter case keeps the button from being pressed down.

I'm new to AliExpress but seems like lots of cool stuff. Hopefully the old reliable Zippo lighter isn't out of the question. I think besides matches I'd want a Zippo lighter with a 4 ounce can of zippo lighter fluid (which could also assist in lighting a fire in wet conditions).

For short term I like zippo. For a kit I don’t go through for 5 years this is a great option.
