Rather than sitting and watching a stock the entire day, alerts are a simple way to notify us automatically if a certain condition is met. Today we’ll learn three different methods to create alerts within TradingView and a few different ways to customize them.
Within TradingView there are three main methods to create a new alert. You could click the alert icon at the very top of the chart. You come come down and right click on the chart itseslf and then select add alert, and the final way it by coming over to the far right side panel and clicking the alerts icon.
You also have the ability to create simple pricing alerts, basically just alerting you if the stock goes above or below a specific price. However, you can also create study or indicator alerts. Meaning if the RSI crosses a certain value.
