How do I get my ai Comic Characters into different poses? It's a question that's as old as time itself. In this video I go over 3, yes 3 methods to get your ai comic art characters from MidJourney or any other ai art engine into different poses...and hey, 2 of those 3 actually work.
We start off this little video by talking about what makes a good posable character and some prompts you might try in midjourney to increase your chances at getting a posable character. Then we dive into 3 different ways to pose characters from prompts to photoshop.

This is PERFECT! I was just trying to figure out how to get my poses right, and even though I'd been using Puppet Warp to fix faces and expressions it never occurred to me to use it as it for what it was intended lol. Thanks!

- different angles, different expressions, character sheet - Then zoom out a few times to get more poses / expressions. Photoshop for moving heads around to get different expressions and poses.

:58 you can try the phrase "T pose" as well. .......while this method is viable and as you said will improve id offer as an alternative to check out design doll to create a custom mannequin for use throughout a story. It gives me the consistency to stay on model and If you have the paid version you can save your poses and panels for future use. The free version has the added benefit of being able to have multiple mannequins at once. Just throwing that out there.

Why not try this with methods with stable diffusion? You could take the acceptable looking poses you got here and then run it through img2img with a low denoising (to minimize changes) to get the AI to blend it all together in a way that looks more natural.

I'm using Stable Diffusion, not Midjourney, but the results posing characters with img2img on SD were superior, let alone with ControlNet. It took me a month to fine-tune and after 5K images, I could make AI merges with my own art style with better results than Midjourney. With the same tools, a non-artist could achieve the same as I did on SD. Honestly, since I tried Stable Diffusion, I've never looked back to MidJourney, and SD 100% is free.

Can you just draw a pose upload it as a sillowete and and have midjourney shape your character to that pose??? I feel like the more I look into midjourney its more about understanding codeing than having an artistic eye. Am I wrong? If you like work at Google this idea of mine wouldent be a problem🙁.

Background and especially placing a character into one can be as easy as just making sure the character is on its on layer and dropping it in, or it can be pretty involved using perspective lines to determine horizon. Worth its own video. Thanks for the comment!

Why are people using AI to illustrate their comic books? If you can't be arsed to learn how to draw, then you probably can't be arsed to learn how to write a proper story. So not only will your comic have stilted characters that don't look alike, the story will be crap too.
