There are thousands of companies on NSE and BSE. But have you ever wondered how they got there in the first place? In this video, we look at the lifecycle of a company from the moment that the company is established, fundraising from angels and venture capitalists (VCs) to its Initial public offering (IPO).

Merchant banker acts as a critical partner with the company during the IPO process. SEBI regulates the IPO market and has the final word on whether a company can go public or not As an investor in the IPO, you should read through the DRHP to know everything about the company. Most of the IPOs in India follow a book-building process.

Temporary solution:- Pause the video then drag the video screen down a little. It will temporarily disappear.

U watch the vedio after downloading it and make sure ur watching the vedio when data is put off doing this one can read take aways easily

Great video, I have one doubt though. You said that bids and offers are matched for a transaction to occur. But if a stock is new in the market. Surely no one will ne selling it just yet. Then how do people place bids if there are no offers?

so we have tata tech ipo coming out tomorow, and maximum price limit is 15000 for a lot size of 30 so on bidding days before it gets listed on stock exchange, the total price on bids cannot go more than 15k right?

A stockbroker is your market access, so choose a broker that matches your requirements. A stockbroker provides you with a trading account that is used for all market-related transactions (buying and selling of financial instruments like shares) A Depository is a corporate entity that holds the shares electronically in your name in your account. Your account with the depository is called the ‘DEMAT’ account. There are only two depositories in India - NSDL and CDSL. To open a DEMAT account with one of the depositaries, you must liaise with a Depository Participant (DP). A DP functions as an agent to the Depository A clearing corporation works towards clearing and settling trades executed by you.

unable to see the key take away in all the videos due to the logo and next videos clipping which I'm unable to remove. This is annoying as I'm unable to make notes. Rest the videos are quite informative.
