you have to take some risk in order to win so many games like Hikaru did. If you play safe, you end up being like Nepo, lots of draw, not many wins, but hey, Nepo is also an insanely strong player so can't argue with that.

The other players in the tournament ought to be thankful for Vidit's presence. He's essentially taking points from Nakamura and giving them to the others. Without him, Naka would be running away with it.

Same argument can be used for Alireza giving points to hikaru fabi and Nepo but defeated Gukesh So it isn't logical to say if he(someone) hadn't lost to him(someone) then he would have won Coz at the end it is normal to lose some games and win others

What a joke has Alireza Firouzja become. Attacking french FIDE, pushing and forcing them to make ad-hoc tournaments, playing in some strange buildings with cheap chairs with some unwashed, unshaved 2100 rated grandpas, getting to the tournament and...shamefully, with no intention to fight losing like a CM. Chess is really going to it's deserved end
