Every single relationship in the world is transactional in at least one, if not several ways. Everyone worried about these relationships, he's using her, she's using him. Well yeah, no ship Sherlock. People the same age in relationships are using each other to meet their needs. Go bother them. It's hard enough to meet someone with any qualities at all. How much value do you think this guy has in the US dating market these days??? About ZERO??? In that country he has much value. I know, it somehow hurts complete strangers to see this guy happy and they want him to get his ass back to the US and be miserable and alone like he deserves!!!!! Right? It will be no coincidence that they will be province girls..the cultural difference is massive here in the phil’s. You will be seen as a walking atm ..plus don’t think it’s really accepted and it’s not. The westerners mixing in these circles mix together and mostly in there little bubbles, and have no idea about wider Filipino society as they mix with the very poor. That comes again with a certain attitude you’ll need to adjust too.

While it does happen that Filipina girls will use you for an atm, it would be the guys fault for letting them because obviously she is not the right girl for them. Plenty of good women to meet in the Philippines, please stop with the fear mongering.

It's a win-win situation. She will have comfort including financial, mature men tend to less cheat, or "test more waters" so less headache, she's okay. For the mature guy he will have a lover, a carer, a maid, a companion. Win - win. Myself I wouldn't date unless the guy is 62 and up.

I wish them the best in their 40+ year age gap relationship. I am 60 and have been in an LDR with a 40 year old Filipina for 3 years and have visited her in person once per year. We don’t feel the 20 year age gap when we are together. But, Filipinos notice it and have commented about it, occasionally. I plan to bring her to the USA where we are likely to get even more comments about the age gap.

I am 61 and moving to the Philippines next month, haven't looked for a GF. If it happens it will not be with a young woman. She would have to be at least in her 40s and fun to be with. What is driving me to move there is inflation and the horrible divide in our country.

I'm in a similar situation about a year behind you and thought the same thing. The problem is finding a Filipino in her 40's or 50's that is not married. Divorce is very difficult, lengthy (5 to 10 years), expensive to impossible in the Philippines plus if you're a foreigner and sleeping with a married woman its a crime. "When" her ex finds out you could be blackmailed for $10,000, $30,000 or more and doesn't matter if they've been separated for 20 years because in their law she is still married to him. And he "will" find out because all of these villages and families are so closely connected. That's the problem of finding an attractive Filipino in her 40's or 50's because if she's ever been married before there's about a 99% chance she's still married. Divorce is that difficult in the Philippines. That max help explain why you see a lot of the expats with younger women. Many would prefer a 40 or 50 year old but its like trying to find a needle in a haystack or risk being blackmailed or jailed.

USA has always had a political divide, nothing has changed. I clearly remember the Lyndon Bains Johnson years and the only thing that is different is that we did not have the internet and twenty four hour news back then. Everyone has the option of turning this crap off. I also clearly remember the double digit inflation, interest rates and unemployment rates of the Jimmy Carter years. In comparison, things are much better now. I live in a major midwestern city ( not Chicago ) and myself and all of my friends live solely from Social Security including entertainment costs , We use our savings only for traveling and gifting. You may wish to consider loading up a U Haul and relocating . I am coming to Philippines for three months a year because Florida gets too crowded during the snowbird months.

There is no divorce in the PH, your marrige can only be annulled and for a foreigner its not that expensive, just 300-400k peso.

That way I have a place to visit or come back if I don't like SE Asia or need to move back for any reason such as medical. Best of both worlds.

Don't be judgemental. I'm a Filipino. Had a family neighbor and childhood friend. Came from a well off family here in Cebu. In short there not poor. Way back then I notice her she likes to have a relationship with an older guys even Filipinos themselves. I happen to ask her. Why is it like that. Your not that desperate for a relationship. Your young, educated came from a family of well off in the province. The one thing she always says to me is she like older guys for maturity, sencerity and sense of compatability for her. I short she marries an Australian with around 25 years age gap. The family and kids of Australian taught she only wants their dad for financial security. So when it happen they visited their dad in Cebu. OMG Surprise surprise. They wasn't expected how well off the family of the girl. The moment they landed on the airport. They were fetch up with 2 SUV from the girl family. A d having dinner to meet the whole bunch of the family. For sure a lot of people notice right away their reaction that seems says it all. They were wrong. 😅😅😅. Till now they were happy married coming back and forth to Cebu. I happen to talk with the family of my friend. Telling me and reminding my friend don't ever ask something financial to your hubby. Fir his her hubby himself knows that. Last year they had there 15 year marriage anniversary....

If there is a caring relationship I think an age gap is fine. I must say 40y is a lot and 25y you mention already sound a lot less and 20-15 y even more doable. But yes let us not judge others (so easily without knowing the facts ).

I saw an old guy in the USA who has a channel sitting down in his chair and he is sooooooo lonely, nothing to do and waiting to die. He's getting depressed, sick, lonely with nothing to do. I wrote him saying come to the Philippines and your life will change so much for the better. Some guys don't want to take that chance on getting out of their zone, that they would rather die. Yo, by surface observation only, this doesn’t fail to cross my own mind… However, the metric for creepy is HER happiness or not. Being the younger (more “impressionable and vulnerable”) one in this pairing, the ONLY thing that matters is what these two think and feel, with the emphasis leaning towards her. Watching them, there is no way to judge their choices and their life together. The ONLY ones who may actually weigh in at all on their relationship is her family… and it seems, given the REALITIES of the world today and the obvious care and resources he provides to their daughter, I’m sure they are more than fine with their daughter being respected AND cared for!! And that’s the bottom line. What I see is a man who was likely beaten up and fed up of the ubiquity of snotty, difficult American women and decided that he STILL had plenty to give and offer for the simplicity of having joyful companionship. Men’s needs are so much simpler and easier to please than women’s. This is a perfect example of this truth. And one truth about men is that we DO appreciate the beauty of youth/youthfulness. That’s a hardwire in us. Just like a hardwire in women is looking to a man for resources… money, stability, protection, care… the feminist movement can claim all they want but the base realities are these. *Western societies are living with profound levels of mental illness… of ALL sorts and levels. And, I’m not seeing ANY sort of mental illness in these two. And anybody who misses that very last point needs to do some of their own reflecting upon their biases and how they think because their is not so much love in the world that we just throw it away when it is available.

Most of my filipina friends that have big age gap with their spouse change over time specifically when they are already in the US.80 percent filled for divorce but some are still with their spouse living miserably.But if they stay in the Philippines they are more happy for some reason 😀.Just my opinion and i respect peoples choice.

That is opposite of my Filipina wifes, Filipina friends. Only one of them I know of that got divorced. She has an Indonesian friend who got divorced but the guy was cheating on her and moved out of her house and left her with 2 children. Yes divorce happens but it may not be because of the Filipina, but maybe because of the azzhole they married.

@johnevans8328 She may be being cautious, she may not be sure if you are the right one for her. Am sure she would hate it if you found someone else who liked to video chat every day, but she get over it eventually. Not every girl you meet online is going to jump on the bandwagon just because you think she should. Its very hard to know if she is the right girl until you meet them in person. Is she sharing her social media with you like facebook? If so then she just may be hesitant until she meets you in person. Can't really say how committed to you that she is with only 2 sentences of feedback but you will have a good idea once you meet her. Just watch for the red flags and don't drop your guard. You can meet her somewhere out side of the airport if you are not sure about her. Good Luck!

Very interesting as I work with 5 people(men & women) who have found their wife or husband there. The 3 girls I work with are from there & based on what I see are the most loyal private good working people I've met. The guys are just normal middle-class guys ranging in age. I find this is amazing as a normal middle-class guy can actually find someone who isn't a multi millionaire. Thank you for the videos, as it gives me hope seeing the success stories firsthand.

Well I'm sure she views him as her sugar daddy. I say that because every Filipina I have seen on KZfaq thinks foreigner's are RICH. Even if this guy only has monthly SS payments that's enough in the Phil's. There sure isn't any downside for her being with him. It might be love, but NOT the kind most younger people have which is puppy love. You know that feeling you get in your gut. Hers is probably a more practically minded love, which in my opinion is better for the long run. But at his age who knows how long he has.

I am in a similar age gap relationship 62::28. My family is concerned about this age gap, reason being " gold digger". I tried to explain to them that actually older women are more prone to be gold diggers as they dont have time on their side. Younger women make great wives, because they can be molded to the mans lifestyle. Older women are more set in their ways, they have also experienced a lot in their lives, so compared to a younger woman its more difficult to get appreciation and genuine happiness. Yes I am the provider, she benefits from that, but i am more than happy to see her smile, keep a clean and neat house, cook healthy food and have a young sexy woman in bed. The only people who wont like what I say are older women and men who are in relationships, that dont have nuts.

By surface observation only, it doesn’t fail to cross my mind how striking the age gap is here… However, the metric is HER happiness or not. Being the younger (more “impressionable and vulnerable”) one in this pairing, the ONLY thing that matters is what these two think and feel, with emphasis leaning towards her. Watching them, there is no way to judge their choices and their life together. The ONLY ones who may actually weigh in at all on their relationship is her family… and it seems, given the REALITIES of the world today and the obvious care and resources he provides to their daughter, I’m sure they are more than fine with their daughter being respected AND cared for!! And that’s the bottom line. What I see is a man who was likely beaten up and fed up of the ubiquity of snotty, difficult American women and decided that he STILL had plenty to give and offer for the simplicity of having joyful companionship. Men’s needs are so much simpler and easier to please than women’s. This is a perfect example of this truth. And one truth about men is that we DO appreciate the beauty of youth/youthfulness. That’s a hardwire in us. Just like a hardwire in women is looking to a man for resources… money, stability, protection, care… the feminist movement can claim all they want but the base realities are these. Western societies are living with profound levels of mental illness… of ALL sorts and levels. So let’s note; nobody can claim ANY sort of mental illness in these two… every sign is to the contrary. And anybody who misses that very last point needs to do some of their own reflecting upon their biases and how they think because there is not so much love in the world that we just throw it away when it is available.

@@ChadFosterExplores so she was 18 and he 63. I read another comment that said he was 61. I knew that had to be wrong. He looks like he's in his late 60's. I'm almost 70 and have far fewer wrinkles. Although my Dad even in his 70's had very few wrinkles. I guess it depends on sun exposure, if you smoke. Those 2 things can really damage your skin.

Aside from the number, and the physical appearance, when you see them together they are mutually respectful, caring, nothing but laughing together, same sense of humor and enjoy the same activities. But Unless you're a movie star or rockstar, big age gap is so extremely rare and taboo in western culture.

this couple is right on everything he said is correct im 74 my wife is 34 we meet 9 years ago chatted for 3 years sent zero money she worked in an hardware store 90 dollars a month i then went to meet in person in davao city she took bus for 6 hrs to meet me we spent 10 days together then i went back to america came back 6 month later spent 2 months with her traveling around to many different islands met family told parents i was going to apply for finance visa to America they said ok to marriage up to her no problem5 month later got visa brought her back got married its been 7 years now its been perfect it was my first marriage
