It isn’t always HOA. It’s their local councils. I remember a story about a guy who put up a mast windmill for power, got told it was illegal and to move it. Did so, but where he put it was also illegal( though funny how it was ok when he asked for building permits both times. Then, after he moved it, faced jail over the small foundation block that was left behind. That removal of which would have caused structural damage to his house. Even though that was cited, the council didn’t care, and when he removed it, they claimed his house was not structurally unsound. The case went on for years. Every time he did what they told him to do, they found another thing to charge him with, then another, then another.

Title comes in several parts. When American Fed government incorporated everything had to change to fit in a new system. Now they keep 1 part of the title to every land sale, thus having a vested interest in the property. Because you can't cause harm to a property owners interest they get to tell you how you can and can't use the land. It's also why you pay taxes, it's their part of the land interest. Get alodial title(all parts) and then you can tell them to pound sand.

One farmer in particular seemed not tp care and once every year or two his loader would end up at the dealership with a tire or two leaned over and rubbing the loader because the bearings were that tore up. i know you were using it with a tracked loader, but I would recommend taking a good look around the drive sprocket to make sure it is not wrapping up around the drive.

Yeah that's not how it works. Ok you live next to me and I have an empty plot of land that I want to profit off of so l get paid for people to get rid of their extremely toxic waste. The smell is unbearable and toxic and then it starts to seep into the ground and pollutes everyone's ground water and kills off all the wildlife in the nearby lake. I'm guessing you'll be fighting for me when your property value drops to zero and you can't be near your property without a gas mask because the air is deadly? But hey it's my property, f everyone and everything else that might be affected by what I do on it. That mentality is what's wrong with the world these days. So much for love thy neighbor.

I’m in SoCal, back in 2012 took a trip up north to the Sierra’s (our beautiful, lush mountains) except I saw what could be an apocalypse. Grew up around them. You can’t see more than a few feet back. Stunned, devastated and deeply heartbroken to see what the drought has caused. From the Sierra’s to the Cascade Mountains all of us in the west have been proud of our Mountain range.

Old concrete is considered clean fill in Minnesota, and can be used to protect Lake shore from erosion. I don't think clean sand should be any issue. That said, some communities / HOA's might not like old busted up concrete, or might require a certain type of rip-rap etc. But I don't think that's likely up where Stan's cabin is. You need to watch Clarkson‘s Farm on Amazon to see how the UK enforces environmental laws on private land. My guess is with this guy the body of water was funded by Federal or State maintenance money, so now falls under Federal water clarity codes. Sand can cloud water which causes algae. It’s fun to see the grand kids have fun in the sand, but the cost of their enjoyment shouldn’t destroy the lake.

I remember when I was in high school I had an old ford pick up truck with a rusted out bed. I ended up taking the tail gate off while I was trying to weld up a new bed to put on, and some nasty neighbor called the township and they gave us a letter in the mail talking about how we were "acting as a salvage yard yada yada yada". All that for one rusty tailgate that was leaning up against the side of the garage? Some people have nothing better to do then harass people, it's kinda sad.
