I am West Brom as well - Cyrille never scored against us. (He was at Coventry in 1984, and we went down in 1986, so only 4 chances to score). He did score against Coventry when he had moved to the Villa.

As a Albion fan, I forgot how magnificent he was for Cov! Hope you get your identity back after years of being shafted by your council. Most my family are Coventry kids and Sky Blue supporters, all the best.

Big Cyrille, athletic, strong, almost impossible to knock off the ball once it was at his feet, great header of the ball, gentleman and role model. Adored by both Baggies and Sky Blue - rest in peace big man - a true LEGEND.

I'm a Liverpool fan since 1977 so I distinctly remember the big man knocking in many goals for WBA and Coventry city.A truly great footballer both on the floor and one of the best headers of the ball of that era.You will be sadly missed big Cyrille may you RIP Ynwa.

There is only one goal in this film which the keeper might have saved. Rocket shots, perfectly placed goals, or headers harder than most people can kick the ball.

You mean he played for Cov that many years? If you watched the BBC yesterday you would have thought he only ever played for West Brom!

He was past his best by 1984, at Albion he was brilliant until the coaches got to him around 1982 and never quite the same after that. He was good at Cov but brilliant at Albion.
