Use your regular air compressor and turn it into an air assist for your laser cutter and engraver. I took my xtool 10 d1 pro and hooked it up to my air compressor. It makes a huge difference in cut quility.

Thank you for actually providing links and the exact size and name of the parts needed! I bought a ComGrow air assist and it's absolutely unless so I've been looking for a way to connect my compressor to it for more power.

Thanks! For cutting I use around 25 psi...I have found for engraving it usually works better with no air assist

Hello, I usually run in the 20's for psi. You can do more and it helps for cutting, but if you are cutting small pieces, the higher psi can blow them up into the laser which can screw up your cuts. Good luck!

@@chaddiy3512 Thanks! since its such a small hose, does it run for quite a while off the air in the tank or does the compressor have to kick on a lot to keep up? I think my compressor is 8 or 10 gallons.

My laser machine is inside my craft room and my compressor is in my outside wood shop, so in the summer (Florida) the air around the compress is very humid, how would this affect the air going into the xtool, being it's in a air condition room? TIA.

Hello, I actually am not sure how the humid air would effect it. I know you can get in line air dryers that you could try. I am guessing it would be fine, but I think the only way to know forsure is to try it out. Good luck!

Hello, What size tubing is this for? The Amazon link has a couple different sizes. Is it the 6mm?

Hello, I am pretty sure it is the 6mm. I think the discription has changed on Amazon from inches to mm. I thought when I bought it, it was listed as 1/4 inch but 6mm should work fine. Good luck!

How do keep the compressor from running constantly while cutting , nobody talks about that, the laser needs constant air pressure and when the air compresor hits the turn on switch it would turn back off and it get super hot and anoying

Hello, thanks for the comment. I completely agree with you. It does get annoying with the air compressor running. The one I have is a decent size...but it still runs quite a bit. I also have the smaller xtool brand one that works alright. It is quieter as well, but doesn't seem to work as well. If I turn this into a business, I would probably invest in a large air compressor outside my shop. Maybe some day!

Hello, for cutting I have it around 25 psi. I can cut almost twice as fast with this air assist setup. Engraving the pressure can be lower with great results!

Xtool's air assist spec is about 30kpa or 4psi. Why 25psi and I can probably regulate that now on my compressor without the extra regulator.

Hello, that's true...you could probably just use your regulator on your air compressor. To me it seemed a higher psi resulted in a cleaner cut.

That regulator is 90 dollars, not really 30 dollars all up...

Hello, you are looking at the 1 inch version of that regulator. The 1/4 inch one is around $15.

A "good" video, BUT, I cringed when you started to thread in the fittings on the regulator.... a BIG FYI - when you wrap Teflon tape on a fitting, as you are looking at/into the fitting end, ALWAYS WRAP CLOCKWISE.... This direction of wrap will not "unwind" the Teflon tape as you screw it in. The big A$$ bunching of the tape when you screwed it in PROVES the tape was wrapped CCW.... AND, when using this great tape, DO NOT wrap past the end of the fitting because you WILL F UP THE internals of whatever you are screwing.... A good idea video, but, not so much in the process....
