I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte.

Hope the raccoons on the grass will eventually come up so we can see them. Not while they are being chased. Nothing much you can do about this. Unless they know there's another entrance on the other side of the deck

Only thing about flying flags 24/7 is there should be a light shining up on the flag during nighttime, i know in usa this is a common thing.ty for sharing this video, jim they are your flags you display them how ever you want!. Ignore the negative nellies. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I'm sorry but it is not a rule to how to display your flags. I think if you're in a government setting there is some rules to it but not in your home on your own property you can fly it however you want.

@@JamesBlackwoodRaccoonWhisperer According to Government Of Canada web page Canadian flags can be flown at night without a light. When flying other country’s flags whether alone or alongside Canadian flag, you are required to respect and honor that country’s flag protocol. In America every citizen knows or at least should know that you never fly it at night without a light shining on it. I don’t know if Canadian Legions flys the American flag but if they are doing so at night they are required to have a light shining on them, otherwise they are being disrespectful to our flag. Only fly a flag from another Nation if you know “how” to fly them. I say fly every flag according to that country’s protocol. Flags are more than just some decoration or means to show support, like some sports team’s flag. They have far more meaning than simply displaying them.

@@elizabethcochrane9015 Google Canadian flag flying protocol, they have no rule against night flying without a light for THEIR flag, but if you fly another country’s flag you are required to fly it according to that country’s rules of flag flying, not Canada’s flag rules. It’s disrespectful to that country if you do not. If people aren’t aware of the country’s flag flying rules they shouldn’t be flying them then. Flags are symbols of honor and respect, not some decoration or display of support like it’s some sports team’s flag.

Any questions about displaying the American flag can be answered if you "Google " American flag etiquette. I'm sure every country has their own requirements for displaying their flag. 😊

Scooter ate a whole pound of hot dogs; the raccoon has a hollow leg alright. I just did some research on the life span of raccoons and they can live to 20 years in captivity. Since you folks feed them I would say they are in a form of self imposed captivity.

Hey Jim and Angie! Scooter is so hungry. She will get fat again soon. I'm coming to Jims diner, blueberry is my favorite lol. I think the bugs will be bad this year here, because it didn't get cold enough this past winter. I think they are fussy because they are so hungry from having the sweet babies. I had problems with the shavers also being a rescue it was needed. My daughter showed me that it all has to do with how long the blade is out and the angle in which you go. It worked perfectly 6 shears later I wish I would of ask for her help earlier. Also for matt's which are constant Amazon has a lot of these little shavers that look like a cigar they have little blades battery operated that get under the matt you can get close and wiggle it loose. I can give you the names of both if it interest you. I just know how frustrating it can be when your pet is not on the same page as you. Love you guys hope this helps from a 70yr old lady. I watch every time your on. Best to you both Azure

When the deck and the deck roof were added the roof should have been the same measurements as the deck, to cover it, not just half way. I think it’s a design flaw, engineer fail, idk?

yes the schools here in Md, before school lets out , they have students go out and take the flag off of the tall pole, then in the morning it is raised again!
