Our Silver Yorkie is 17 yrs old! Still doing okay. Cataracts, fewer teeth, but still being a sweet boy. Greets us happily when we return home.

My condolences for your loss of Makita. I lost my best friend, Tootsie, to a brain tumor, several years ago. It is really hard losing a good dog.

I am a new subscriber and have been watching your videos, I just want to tell you how much I enjoy them. I am so very sorry about you and your wife losing your puppy, we lost our 10 year old little guy out of the blue on Jan 17, 2020 and have no idea why or what happened, we woke up and he had passed in his sleep. We miss him everyday, he was our baby. So once again I am truly sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear you lost your girl Makita, anyone who has owned a great dog knows the pain you are feeling. I miss my girl everyday and she will be gone a year this Feb. The chicken and biscuits looks amazing I will make that one night this week. Good comfort food for these still cold winter days.

Oh boy my mouth is watering for some chicken n biscuit now! A dog loss is the hardest, best friends I ever had were my dogs. I got a 8yr old lab/heeler and a 2yr husky, I know my daughter will be devastated when the lab goes

What an incredible dish! I’m so sorry about your furbaby! I respectfully ask you to look at your local shelters and rescues for your next baby...there are so many perfect pups out there and you will literally save a life. No judgement though with whatever you choose. We love you with no conditions!

You've re-inspired me to me to start cooking with the DO at camp again! I had gotten tied of lugging it with me. So sorry to hear about your precious pup! I'm just meeting him today for the first time and to hear he is gone is just so crushing. The loss of a pet is the worst pain I know of. I've never loved a human as much as I've loved my pets!

Today was my lucky day, found your video! Yesterday I just cleaned my 2-Dutch ovens that sat dormant for over 22-yrs! Last fall I made my fire pit anticipating to dig em out! Am itching & excited to heat em up! So very sorry about your adorable puppy! 10-yrs is so short! 🐾🐾💔 I truly believe they come back to you, just in another form!

Just found your channel, my condolences on the loss of your friend. Your cooking inspires me, I was a baker at a restaurant , and will be relocating to Michigan this spring. My wife has been after me to get her some cast iron cookware. Going to be fishing for some lake perch when I get back home and will be trying out the new cookware. Oh no. So sorry for your loss. There's no words that can help you heal your sorrow . When I loss my dog. The only thing that helped me. Was knowing she was no longer in pain 😢 .

I've done a similar meal for scout troops only boiling a chicken after breakfast, deboning, then assembling as you did. One of the best campfire meals ever! Stinks up the campsite enough that calling 'em in to eat was rarely necessary.

So very sorry about Makita. I truly understand the deep pain of that loss. I have personally lost my best friend and Service Dog. She was my shadow, it took a long time to stop listening for her, holding the door that extra second and reaching to pet her at night. I hope your pain subsides soon and you open your heart and hearth to another fur baby soon. That being said, I truly want to thank you so much for sharing all of your Dutch oven recipes, tricks and advise. Keep on cookin Cookie!

We are heading out to southern Indiana to camp tomorrow and we're responsible for the first night's meal. This looks like a perfect way to break in my new Lodge 12" dutch oven. It's the deep oven, so hopefully the biscuits will bake up okay. Thanks for a great looking and easy recipe!

Sharing life with a dog is a great thing. They will always love the owner. Food looks good, and you pulled it off. Always treat the chicken as dirty and wash it,..required in the industry. I would have cooked the chicken before thickening. Looks great, ..thanks for sharing,...thumbs up given.
