East Midlands airport is a hub for low cost UK based airlines, such as Ryan Air, Jet2 and TUI. My main interest in this airport was the freight side of the operations. EMA is a busy freight hub ranking second in the UK, following London Heathrow and is a base for DHL, Star Air, West Atlantic and UPS! I spent a great afternoon at this airport and managed to catch the majority of cargo planes that visit the airport on a scheduled basis. Despite the wet weather, I really enjoyed my short time spotting at this great little airport!
