Through my year of growing and foraging 100% of my food and 5+ years of visiting and meeting with dozens of gardeners and permaculturalists across the state of Florida, I have created a grouping of 30 of the easiest and most abundant foods to grow in Florida.
This grouping of plants is ideal for laying the foundation for a food forest or creating The Survival Garden. We’re talking about growing a lot of food, with the least work so you can truly break free from the grocery store!

Many of you are requesting a bundle outside of the Florida region.
It is very much a possibility that we create a bundle for regions with winter including the midwest, northeast, middle Atlantic and possibly other regions in 2024 or 2025. If you'd like a notification if we create a bundle, please fill out the form on the Food Forest Starter Bundle Website where it says "Located outside of zones 8-11 and interested in a bundle? Fill out our notification form here."

No, schools should concentrate on literacy, and STEM. Not survival gardens. It's nearly impossible to have a garden, or a stable home, if you aren't educated.

@@trolltracker - You're absolutely right. I feel those things are way more important. But, where Im from they have something called FFA (future farmers of America) where they teach how to farm animals and crops. I think there should also be optional classes explaining these types of food gardens because it's more basic and able to be practiced by kids instead of large scale uni-farming. Food preservation techniques would also be useful. Im also a big believer in financial education and learning how to start a business. But, that's a whole other rabbithole.

I met Robin in Orlando way before covid, he inspired me to grow food plants by giving me cuttings & seeds he had. Plus an old un-used honey bee box & frames. I am retired now and have a whole lot to grow all these starter cuttings on. I have 6 bee hives now and just got 4 baby chicks. Thanks Robin for making a difference in my life, plus this world we all share. P.S. still growing from the pigen pee seeds you gave to me.

There’s soooo much information and it’s overwhelming, but I too am looking to grow my own food and not using the grocery store. I would also like to grow sustainably to give to our lical food bank communities. I hope to hear from you. In the meantime, I’m going to watch all of your videos! This is a great idea! I live in Australia and have no more space in my backyard but I hope that it helps a lot of people in the US. We are raised to forget where food comes from, but it's important to realise that food doesn't magically appear in groceries. You are doing great work! If you see this, where I live it's a similar climate to Florida, so I was wondering roughly how large the combined land was that you grew all your food on for a year?

I like that Robin is raising awareness to act on climate change and big corporate but how can you get 350 million to forage food, or give up or go biking to work, you really can't. The things that Robin does helps the environment in many ways, but say renewable energy or electric vehicles powered by renewable energy does a lot more to end climate change that not have many appliances or bikes. I am actually copyrighting a book I wrote about climate change solutions that are not being extreme.

In many ways I am extreme Dear Friend. And I have designed my life that way. But if you watch to the end of most videos or my writing you'll see that I acknowledge that and I share what others can do that isn't extreme. My method of reaching millions by being extreme has been successful for the last 10 years and I intend to continue for much time to come. And in truth, I'm not even trying to be extreme. This is me living my live in a society that has been so disconnected by consumerism that living in a basic manner connected to Earth is now extreme.

I would like some but I dont want to give my address here but I would give you something that you might like to know but for me to explain what I am talking about we need to jump back in time to the 12 centry . Ok you know they planted and harvested all that they ate so what we there back up so to speak. Because you had good years of growing crop and not so good years harvest but the had flowers growing to attract polenators or so we thought but really dahlia were there back up food the only reason I bring up only one plant is because I started do research on that plant and 16 centry they were growing hybrids dahlia and there were about 20000 different types but people who use dahilas as a back up food supply. And in the 1800 there was a bug that wiped out the dahlia but left us with. 3 types. So if you are asking me history holds the answers but are you strong enough to find the answers.most people only think one way and the answer are held in history like way was wool set to clean in ocean water. Well because it would have moving water to clean it but that not all wool is scratchy and salt water changes that some. But if you were to go along with history or because that's the way the family has always done it you wouldn't know that the salt water changes the chemical makeup but I haven't found out if it makes it stronger weaker or doesn't change any thing
