will this allow my iphone 6 to charge and play music? I have a 30 pin adapter and it doesnt connect to my iphone 6 on the bose series 1 ... dont know why??

Yes, however you do need to ensure your dock supports USB charge mode. If you get 2 beeps when you power up then you have the USB charge mode. Early docks (Type A) serial staring in 0357 or 0402 support Firewire charge mode only. If you have a type A dock then you have to fit a charge upgrade kit or a BC7 Bluetooth upgrade.

Yes it will fit all docks that have industry standard Apple cradle design. Apple used to supply cradle adapters with their iPods and iPhones and small plastic inserts adapters were supplied by most major dock manufacturers. The lightning support uses the exact same-clip in detail. Yes it does fit the Bose Sounddock 10 and most manufacturer's docks.
