16 күн бұрын30 Russian troops surrendered to Ukraine in the city of Vovchansk. Video taken by the 3rd Assault Brigade shows them giving up. It happened after Russia launched a failed attack at the weekend. 400 Russian soldiers assaulted a concrete factory in the city centre, but then got surrounded by the Ukrainians. After multiple rescue attempts, one group threw down their weapons. Dozens more are still inside the plant which Ukraine is now hitting with US small diameter bombs, as drone footage reveals. Meanwhile Russia is hitting the city with glide bombs and rockets. Putin launched a new front in his war last month with a surprise attack on Ukraine’s second-largest city. The aim seems to have been to stretch Ukrainian forces on the front. But it has backfired, costing Russia dearly in terms of men and materiel whilst resulting in few gains. #russia #ukraine #war

Nothing achieved? Must be nice living in denial, Ukraine lost their front line stronghold in advika within the last 6 months and before that oh thats right bakhmut fell as well. Ukraine lost almost all regions Russia has set out to claim, Donbas region has almost been captured achieving Russia's stated goal of this war. If Ukraine doesn't accept peace they will lose the city of Kharkiv ukraines 2nd largest city. Still achieved nothing in 27 months huh, someone is delusional.

They Ukrainian's captured an intact turtle tank including the full crew and supporting infantry alive this week. They Ukrainian's were able to drive the turtle tank back to Ukrainian lines with the Russian's still onboard almost like a mobile prison. I guess those Russian's surrendered the tank because the tank wasn't disabled and they didn't seem to be wounded.

Russia claims that they have queues into their recruiting centres. That they chose only the best of the bests because of this. Rambo's and Terminator's, yea. At the same time we see that they dramatically increased payments for those who want to sign the contract - because there is really not enough people, so they try to "buy" them with a crazy sums that ordinary man would never see in his life doing civil job. Also there are up to 15k mercenaries hired from Africa, Nepal, India, Cuba, Syria etc, - some of them was cheated, some went there, again, for money. There are many of those persons as Ukrainian captivities already. Russians are desperate for cannon fuel.

Both armies are making gains, at this moment it's going back and forth, back and forth, Russia pushes, takes land, Ukraine pushes takes land. The difference is that Russia is losing tons of people and military equipment for small gains.

It backfired BIG time. Western supplied weapons can now be used on the territories of russia, a fact even the manaical russian state media is throwing a fit over. Confirming what we've known all along. Even russia doesn't consider the supposed annexed territories of Ukraine part of russia. And their red lines are nothing more than empty threats. The reason is simple. Like every dictator in history, putin values his comfortable life above everything else. If he had half a brain he would just declare victory, mission accomplished, and leave all of Ukraine. Then get rid of all of his advisors and propagandists for misstating the ru army objectives during the smo. This is his only realistic out of this war.

Russia won’t accept Ukraine joining NATO anymore that the U.S would accept Canada or Mexico joining the old Warsaw Pact if it still existed. Great powers cannot tolerate a perceived threat right on their border. It’s not that hard to understand.

Russia didn't need to do anything. Ukraine couldn't join NATO, because of Russia's invasion and occupation in crimea and the Donbas. NATO rules stop warring countries from joining NATO. All Russia had to do, was keep that going. But no. Poutine wanted to own Ukraine. And now, that will never happen.
