Saw the 30sec art but 13 minutes, thought it was a drawn out tutorial. Boy was I wrong. Going to get some charcoal and muck around. This makes me want to practice. Wish I had your talent.

We used to do this in life drawing with charcoal and butchers paper. 3 mins and model then changes position. Sweaty stuff, but the last couple of pieces were often genuinely surprising. I’ve kept a number of them and still ask myself did I really do these. Great exercise.

The urgency make the result very alive. But self-imposing a 30 seconds timeframe is close to be masochistic. Anyway, it's really good.

You've motivated me to start drawing in a new more creative way! Less emphasis on copying image as is.

Your art and your technique is very good. I’m learning. Do you ever varnish your pieces? Thank you

Every time I watched the episode of drawing a portrait, I felt really voltaged... I am an artist myself so I now how limited time you have to spend on drawing could press on you

I am sure it will not change the spirit or the outcome of the exercise, but there are between 2 and 3 seconds between you set the timer and you actually start to draw. That is an unfair penalty.
