Well done ! I'd personally add off trail bike and brew great chill atmosphere for happy hour, bogeys for sports down the street (NFL Sunday)...if u want to blend in with some cool and super friendly locals

I am in the wedding and events industry here in Venice. I always recommend watching your video on KZfaq to couples who are new to Venice or visiting from out of state. Your video gives couples lots of ideas and shows them locations for their wedding ceremony or renewal of vows. Hip Hip Hooray for promoting Venice, FL!

Very glad I found this video. My girlfriend and I are driving down from Massachusetts and are looking to spend a month or 2 in Florida this winter. I am a window cleaner and plan to bring my gear and find some work. Looks like Venice may be an option!

In the meantime, we actually have a blog post on our website specifically dedicated to newcomers to Venice -- it's called the Venice Newcomers Guide. It provides details about things like utilities, car repair shops, electricians, plumbers, and more! Hmmm, there is a concentration around major metro areas -- but we live south of Sarasota in Venice and our beaches are mostly pristine nature preserves. There are very few restaurants / bars on the beaches because it's not very touristy. We have a neighborhood beach and south of us there's literally nothing on the beach -- besides turtles! 🐢 Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching and for the comment! Alligators are just like any other type of wildlife like bears or mountain lions. For the most part, they stay away and don't bother anyone unless you go into their habitat. And you just have to be aware if you are hanging out by fresh water (always assume their is a gator in it somewhere!). Take care!

It's extremely hot for 7 months...also very very boring for single people under 65 years old...also you'll spend most of the year indoors with the AirConditioner running all year...

SW Florida is great for wealthy retired married couples...especially the house wives...it's very very very feminine...sea shells, shopping, and sunsets get s very very monotonous and not a place for single people under 65....
