During this years trip to Trail Hero we ran into our good friend Dave from ‪@DCDCUSTOMS‬ with his incredible Jeep Wrangler LJ built. The craftsmanship and the parts list on this Jeep LJ is out of this world and definitely not something you find a lot in the United States!

I would recommend putting a cover on the torque converter and harmonic balancer before you put it in the mud and sticks.

Excellent LJ, perhaps the best in the world. But it's a shame the $300k budget didn't allow for a hood stand. 😆

wheelbase with this tires is perfect. Combination incredible 454lsx. Name this rig "Rome Balance".

Just remember they drove 5 stock CJ7s through the Darien Gap in South America, so that jeep is nice but way overkill, but to all there own.

Going to the rfc or borneo safari in northern borneo make sure your car is proper stormproof,shud your electrics failed during the monsoon season

Awesome rig with some serious parts …that radiator by my head is a no-go…you split a tank and your gonna spend 6 months in a burn ward!

Great build..but there are a few more things needed for rainforest challange, mainly a PTO winch ..normally rainforest challage rigs in Malaysia will run 2 winches, PTO for the main winch and eletric for backup..having flex in a rig is great as you will encounter technical rock obstacle but most of the challange are tight turns, hillclimb, loose dirt, deep mud and heavy current river

Marvin mate, Come over to aus and check out winch comps here. Nearly every car is a twin motor highmount on 24v. There's even a million daily warriors that run twin motor 24v winches 🤣🤣🤣

Im just wondering why the skidplate is open towards front and back. I mean, isnt he going to collect half of the rainforest above the plate?

Enjoy RFC! Consider using a pto winch as a main winch and electric as backup. And also roof winch because uprighting a buggy is very annoying.

Are Portals the brand of axles?

No, the Brand is Currie Enterprises. Portals are the end sections / gearbox built into each hub. It provides an extra gear reduction & increased ground clearance.
