My cottage has a VERY powerful toaster that can blacken toast on low setting within 30 seconds. I don’t think anything is more powerful than that.

If you are talking about the english muffin, do you mean to tell me that they aren't supposed to be blackened like Louisiana style fish are blackened? If not, I guess that my toaster has to be dialed back! That would probably make my blackened fish sandwiches taste much better. By the way, trying to toast hotdogs with my toaster really didn't work that well. I suppose that my experimentation since my wife died has turned out some really weird and untasty stuff, as far as me and my toaster and I go. I blame my toaster for all of that ... But I forgive it, since it has been working for the past 4 years since Angie passed away, without failing or burning my house to the ground. At least not yet ...

You have to use the power level and sensor cook features to really compare a microwave. Inverter microwaves like Panasonic has are good for this because they modulate the magnatron wattage as opposed to just turning it off and on during the cooking.

My microwave wasn't expensive but it's an inverter and it cooks way faster than a standard microwave

More of a general reply, but it has to do with the framerate of the camera and the screen of the toaster. When they don't match, you'll get that flickering pattern on the screen. Phones, TV's, etc.. all do this unless the camera can match the refresh rate basically.

Well I actually think when he was setting it to English muffin and bagel mode I'm pretty sure the rotation of the bagel and muffin matters cause so he said the outside heaters on the bagel setting were turned of after a few but the inside heaters weren't burning the top but I'm pretty sure if he had bagel turned around would have just toasted the back while the outside would shut of after just slightly toasting the top same with the English muffin idk I could be completely wrong but I like my bagels and English muffins toasted both sides but this toaster might be made for more expensive bagels and stuff as well

I have a Hamilton Beach toasting oven so I don't own the expensive one, but do agree it wasn't a fair comparison. As a side note, I don't miss being jump scared every time a toaster pops, so the jingle and moving bit (don't know what it's called, the sucker inner and pusher outer part) is cool.

@@Core10knee you're right that you can't compare A. Toaster on setting 3 to B. Toaster on setting 3. However the photo of how the bread, English muffin, or bagel are supposed to appear were inaccurate. For years people ask the question how much more toasted is 4 than 3, no accurate depiction was ever given. It was always trial and error but though this new technology tried to achieve that resolution they did fail. For the money you spend for that technology it most definitely should be accurate, oh and you ought to be able to watch TV on the screen too. I mean what else are you going to do while waiting on toast, sip some coffee and watch the news.
