A test to see just how long 6x 240 volt house lights will run for on a 90 amp hour AGM battery and a 300 watt inverter.....?
How long do you think the battery will last?

Hi Roley 👋 Woww 22 hours out of this little 300 watt inverter 😮 This is totally worth the investment, just never know when the power will go out as you had said. If we bought a few of these inverters our house would be lit 🎉 Still need a few flashlights though, guess for me out of habit 😉 Thank you so much for showing us this review and showing us all the fine details. Love how easy it is to do. Have a wonderful day my friend 🌈 Sending lots of love 💕

Hey Jessica it was because we went through a time of the power going out on us regularly I looked into and then built our own solar power back up system and that will run everything bar the main house air-conditioned and the system could do this full time if needed. Plus one can dramatically cut down on the power bills with a system as well by running often and not pulling power off of the grid. This video was to show those that don’t know about inverters how to use one and how long you could get out of a standard battery running 6 normal house lights and the 22 hours off one charged battery is a good effort. So with a house one can get in the power meter box a cross over switch installed and a power point so that an inverter can be plugged directly into your house and the switch will select between mains power to off grid power with that a house is all done, flick the switch and you can feed the house with off grid power. A good way to go with this if one wants the whole house running is to plug a 3,000 to 5,000 watt inverter to the meter box as we have here. But a small 300watt just over $50.00 inverter can and will run say all your house lights the TV computer & internet with ease using a battery. Cool stuff I think any way.

Great minds think alike 😆 I have a inverter as a last resort in case we need power for something. In ten years I’ve used it once when we lost home power for two days. Glad I had it. Good test 👍

They are a handy thing to have around the place...we have a solar back up system that will run the house for months if needed but a few people don't know that for just over $50. you can light up tour home if the power is down....thanks for stopping by and stay safe.

Thank you for saying that..... When the power goes out it's a pain and this shows that with a just over $50 inverter you don't need to be in the dark at all. I have a solar back up system that runs all house lighting and my fridge as well and my computer, phone charging, internet and TV and the back up can run all day every day without any problems at all.

Same here as I have 3Kw back system I can pull off when we have no power it comes in handy I tell ya and this was to show that for just over $50 you don't need to sit in the dark at all and if an outage lasts for many days then charge up the backup battery from a car with jumpers hook up to it. Thanks for the comment and keep safe.

Thanks Glenda They are a good device when that power is off line and inverters don’t make any noise nor do they need refilling like a generator or need to be maintained. I have a inverter back up system here at my house running off of batteries that runs all house lighting and fridge TV computer internet just about anything I need at the time really and the system charging is all solar. This system just won’t run for hours or days this system will run for months or continually if I wish. This video was to show those that have nothing at all and for just over $50 for a cheap inverter, in a power outage one does not need to be sitting in the dark.

thanks for the comment and yes 22 hours is a good effort out of a battery that was rejected from a boat as it tested only 70% in condition. A simple inverter could make a power black out not so bad until things are restored.

Hi Lea, thank you very much for the comment and watching the video I do hope all who see it gets something out of it. Yes indeed 22 hours on a 90 amp hour battery running six lights is a very good effort and with a simple plug and switch installed into ones power meter box a humble set up like this will run the same. So in this case of six lights been used for the whole time a family with no power could light up as per normal with a light on in the lounge room one in the kitchen another in a hallway one more in the bed room and one in the bathroom plus have the porch light on, That would have all of the neighbors knocking at your door asking why is it just you that has power and not us…lol. Backup power is a fair thing to have in our time because the power grid is now very old and under much stress and for something like the cheap inverter I used in this video that was just over $50. Bucko’s a family or person won’t have to walk around in the dark. My self we have enough back up power to run the fridge and all of the house light plus the TV, radio, computer & internet hot water in fact the whole lot and we can run the back up for not just a few days but for months at a time if needed as it is charged back by solar daily. Again thank you Lea and stay safe.

@rolandkeith5322
@rolandkeith5322 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for stopping by and indeed you could.With busking I have a mate that does that a lot and he has installed inside the cabinet of his amp that he users a 12V sealed battery and a 150 watt inverter as it all fits with bags of room at the bottom of his amps cabinet. I think he gets around 6 hours from the small battery he has in it as it is about the same size of a motorbike battery. And when he gets back home he just chargers it back up for next time.
