Very sharp looking and will keep these homes well protected.

I think that metal siding for houses will only grow in popularity and I think that the manufactures will make nicer looking siding all the time. Metal roofs and siding can be pressure washed, primed and repainted down the road when they fade or look chalky

I'd like to build a small rustic 700sq house (minimum dwelling size) in Central Florida using a corrugated metal skin. I have this untraditional design I think will be super strong and cheap to build. But I am wondering if my design will be accepted - structurally and ascetics . Concrete slab no water, sewer or electrical into or under the slab. 2x4 framing (but 48" apart) and then (3) 2x4 crossed horizontally up to 8 feet and 10 feet. The frame would look like a tic tac toe of 4x4 wood all screwed together with exterior 3 inch screws. No plywood, just thick vapor barrier over the frame, then corrugated metal sheets. On the inside 4x8x2 sheets of rigid Styrofoam insulation sandwiched by a 4x8 wood panels between the vertical frame studs. Exposed studs stained. No drywall. No interior doors. No baseboards. Shelves for kitchen cabinets. A few accent wall for separation of spaces. Electrical, water and drain lines would travel through concealed Frame corners and out the side of the house (not under the house). Roof would be single pitch same design (no roof paper). I have rough sketches drawings (need an engineer and formal plans) and hope to build a small mock up.. Think a Florida Building department will accept this? How can I confirm before buying the land? BTW, anybody know if lofts and carports count toward min sq footage in Florida?
