311 Day 2018 - Pnut Bass Solo with Coda - Remastered Audio
And now ladies and gentlemen its my pleasure to introduce the one and only PNUT!
Pnut slaps the bass and takes us on a musical journey this 311 day 2018 at the Park Theater in Las Vegas as it works his way around the instrument he has become famous for slapping. Pnut plays some scales up and down the neck and then throws on some heavy effects blasting us off into outer space and then melts our faces by busting out Coda. Its a pleasure as always to watch the master known as Pnut stepping up front and center rocking us to the core with another epic bass solo.

definitely playing in ways and styles you wouldn't imagine him playing if you only listen to his 311 material. Always liked the way this guy played in the band. Always kept a progressive, forward moving sound while still being loose with it and funky

Yeah that's bad for the band. They've done a real disservice to the fans and music world in general by not actually just playing music. I know they're not a 'jam band' and I'm not saying they should be. But there's not ONE 311 fan, past, former, or current, that listens to them just jam, Chad and Tim, just P-Nut, all of this kind of stuff, and thinks "god just play the next song, this SUCKS!". ALL of us eat it up, because it's them playing MUSIC, not just going through a song. It's doing a trapeze without a net, but they've clearly jammed enough in the studio to do it on stage now and then. They're older, stuff changes, bands change, I, and many other fans, wish they would lean into this kind of stuff more. And have wanted that for years.
