good cymbal to start but love that new sound, lots of work paid off.

That anvil is undoubtedly, the greatest one I've ever seen. How it moves to t hammer beat. End result.....gorgeous looking. Very dark sounding. Great vid jr. Cheers🍻

I think is a brilliant dichotomy of bright over dark with subtle complex tones and a wonderful trashy crash that’s very fast on the decay. Personally, I dig it!

honestly even though you said it wasn't particularly a 'crashy' ride, there's something about the way it meshed with that particular bass drum on the big crashes at around 15:55 that sounded really special to me

Pingy, ~3000g Zildjian rides are a dime a dozen, and Zildjian will make another 200 this week alone. This is a huge improvement.

They made so many hollow logo a's. Would love to lathe down my 22 to a nice wash and wobble. More stick control less ping

I really dig the wobble in cymbals, and too many times, it's just not there. I wonder what a rivet or 2 or 3 might add to the flavor? Thanks and Blessings!

The tone isn't too bad, but losing that much weight makes it sound to me like you're playing a crash cymbal now.

My only concern was the hammering on the bell which completely destroyed the tonality in the bell. If you had left it it would of been a great all purpose ride

Its very thin now, way less volume and more crashing possibilities. The bell became too thin for my taste, even being large it lacks that bell note. The washiness its trashier. A tottaly diferent purpose cymbal now.

i love the improvement but i like my cymbals thin i currently have a 3 ride set up 2 22" a zildjian K constanople thin overhammered i scored for 175$ and a sabian monarch i think idk tbh but its a black cymbal real dry love it and a k custom flat top ride that has such incredible deffinition and on the left i have a 4th ride/crash that a 19" 18 or 1900 grams i love it for my left side ride is so much fun i love collecting cymbals i always seem to find the best deals 350$ for a 1920s Ludwig 15"x5 nob snare 30$ for a 1940s leedy marine pearl white 24"i bass drum and bought someones hhx set off ebay for like 450 or less kept the 14" crash and 8" splash but it was funny i wished to myself i wish i would have gotten darker and drier cymbals and someone hit me up to trade the ride and 2 crashes for a 20" meinl thin dry crash and that monarch 22" ride and the hi hats i traded for a killer wood rimmed pdp snare that i absolutly love that goes for 300 so i always find a way to buy flip and end up with nice free stuff to keep for myself im a multi instrumentalist got a double neck 8 pedals 4 knee levers marlen pedal steel guitar to many cellos mandos violins guitars its getting out of hand GAS is a powerful thing to beat especially when you have already beat an addiction to opiates ive redirected that focus and energy to the way i use to be pre hard drugs music is my favorite drug and the best chill pill they make if im stressed ill either play or listen to music and it all goes away

I like the cymbal before and after, but i would definitely use both versions for different styles. (The heavy version for Rock and the light one for jazz, or even as a washy/trashy Crash) Great job and great video.

No ear protection when working on the cymbal.....health and safety non existence !

I think it lost something along the way...maybe the hammering needs some running-in, playing it a lot so the molecules get friendly with one another...could take some time.

Hate to say it, but it destroyed the cymbal. It kind of sounds like a bottom hihat cymbal. Admire your skills and bravery, but the end result is not good. I'm sure there will be an application for it though.

To my ears, it is way worse than before. But if I had spent all the time I would sure like it 😉
