The hard part about getting older is your mind says you can split wood till the sun goes down but your body will eventually say no. Chris your new best friend works smart not hard. I used the Husky tong when splitting and it made my life that much easier. Thanks for another great video.

Morning Chris. Tony does have an array of firewood toys. Can’t wait to see if he has any more toys to present. I bought 2 Husqvarna 12” log tongs almost 2 years ago. They had a special, if you bought a pair. $60 for the pair. Work excellent for carrying logs out of the woods. Definitely a back saver👍

Yes he does, you got your tongs at half price!

Hi Chris - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. I have returned from the wilds of Donegal and am catching up on my viewing. After months of preaching to you about the benefits of timber tongs, you appear now to gave seen the light - Hallelujah! I have used a pair of Husky 30cm tongs for years and find them indispensable. The acid test now will be to see if you use them. A lot of KZfaqrs love to waste their energy and wear out their bodies prematurely - please don't be one as we need you to keep us amused.

Bahco is a pretty well known name really explaining the price. They make the folding laplander pocket saw a lot of backpackers/bushcrafters use. I prefer my silky, corona, and old stanley one that takes sawzall blades. The stanley is great for pruning or whatever with that pruning sawzall blade. Ample extra blade storage in the handle for different applications too.

The tongs are certainly a more ergonomic tool for grasping the wood without having to over tax the arthritic saddle joints of the thumbs. They can be utilized without having to rotate the wrists to get the hands underneath the wood. Allows for flexing at the knees instead of flexing the back to lift the rounds. Great appliance.
