Masha'allah, this episode made me feel dumb in a really good way, I realised there's so much for me to learn, I don't have time to spend hours a day watching dumb KZfaq videos. Honestly, this podcast is a really good influence on me.

18:00 I think personality exists independent of relationships. Relationships however give a platform for personalities to showcase itself. If you are on your own on a deserted island, your personality is still there, hence, Allah was going to take into account and judge the Sahabah (ra) for what they thought and said, but the thought was too much, so Allah removed taking thoughts into account for judgement. But, nonetheless, thoughts are an internal platform for personality.

I read "What is This Thing Called Science?" by Alan Chalmers in my Philosophy of Science class. It'll definitely give you an overview of the development of thought and different accounts to characterize the scientific method. From there once you find a thinker you can find books that they wrote to explore their thoughts a bit better. If you have any questions it would be my pleasure to lend some assistance.

A friend of mine left Islam a while ago and I have been following a lot of these dawah activists since. Unfortunately I don't think many of them are any good at debating atheists. Lawrence Krauss was extremely arrogant and rude but he was too much for Hamza to handle in that debate. I have given Hamza the benefit of the doubt and continued to follow his work since but I feel he is being evasive nowadays. Yes, the fitrah is an important part of the discussion and yes humans are not always entirely rational but you still have to have a rational converstaion with the man in front of you. 'The fitrah, emotions and personal trauma' seem to be the last refuge for a lot these dawah people. Ali Dawah does the same thing and dismisses ex-muslims' arguments as utterly disingenuous. When in doubt, question the motives of the man rather than his arguments. That's the strategy that these people employ now. 44 minutes Yes, we are saying life came from life and they're saying life came from inorganic matter but try a little harder Hamza. They're talking about the naturalistic processes that led to the origins of life and we're talking about a pregnancy that took place 2000 years ago. The two are incomparable! You can't say 'The door swings both ways'. You wouldn't believe someone of a different religion if they told you 'One of our saints was born miraculously 30 years ago', or even your own sister if she claimed something similar. It's a misleading analogy. Scientists are talking about a naturalistic process that started billions of years ago and continues to the present day. You're talking about an event which required divine intervention and you'd only ever accept for yourself. That is a terrible analogy and I hope people don't fall for it. We've got to stop lauding these types of people.

10:20 dishonest point. The fact that there are disputes within the framework, that it is probabilistic, and that it’s subject to change doesnt in any way undermine evolution. It will adapt and change because thats what science does. Pretending that it somehow means that reduces evolutions validity is dishonest.

@@peteconrad2077 If "minimal gene set theory" indicates fully formed creatures, which could not have arisen from evolution, how does evolution help one understand the origins of life? If one claims evolution is merely an explanation for the diversity of life forms, once again, problems ensue. Considerable evidence indicates that "adaptations" did not merely result from stresses in the external environment. An example: a bat and a dolphin both utilise sonar in order to orient themselves in their environments. What's peculiar is that the genes for sonar which the bat and dolphin both use are nearly identical, despite the fact that the two life forms clearly share no common ancestry. This is known as homoplasy, which disrupts the notions of homogeny. The fact that animals have nearly identical features, used in completely different environments, with no shared ancestry, indicates that the common notions of "adaptation" in the evolutionary mechanism do not explain or account for this phenomenon. In short, the more we study specimens, the more gaps ensue, which the evolutionary theory cannot suitably explain. Those who cling to "evolutionary theory" in spite of its considerable gaps, should remember the point of science: to pose hypotheses and test for their veracity.
