EASY AND TASTY DINNER RECIPES

@Steve LYNN i mean, you don't have to put your chicken in watermelon. I have drank watermelon soup before, and it was actually good. So chicken in watermelon may sound good to some people.

Actually it's a thing. A trend if you will. It keeps the chicken juicy and wastes a watermelon. The watermelon imparts very little to no flavor to the chicken.

@@danielserene4532 putting a chicken in a watermelon and baking for two hours will not only overcook the chicken but also because its in a humid environment it will make the skin tough and chewy

@@davidleander7417 I really don't know. I have seen it done with pumpkins and watermelons in Africa and India where there is a surplus of those fruits grow. The people use them simply because they don't have much money to buy cooking pots and the fruits are not ina saleable conditions. So instead of throwing the fruit away, they use them to cook with. And really with the subsistence cooking, I really don't think the flavor/toughness of the food really matters to them. (I have seem stews and curries, the whole chicken thing is more 1st world)
