I've had lots of dodgy inverters over the years, the problem you had isn't that uncommon, its just par for the course for cheap Chinese inverters, but you did a great job to fix it.

Thank you so much Ben. The red button did the trick! We can now use the remote without lifting up the bed each time.

Well done Ben, great fix on the inverter :)

yeah many chinese inverter has similar quality issues. one i recently purchased had the main internal negative wire not even crimped lol! - anyways you did the right thing doing your own quality control. and for the price you really do end up with something decent, once the kinks are ironed out.

I t looks like it was a good thing that it came with a remote...don't forget spare batteries for it. I don't know too much about them either...I bought a 2000 watts Aims inverter charger, 24 volts. I've rebuilt it twice...but the parts you get after warranty are better, the second time. I ran an old welder with a short in it and fried mine the first time, then I did it again with a brand new inverter welder. I have shipped it twice to Sparks, Nevada...( I know, right> ) so if you add all the shipping and parts replaced, I could have just bought a Magna Sine. But it is my first one...there is no pile of parts ones...lol. I solved the problem another way...I now have 18 big marine batteries hooked to my inverter through #1 welding lead wire...I can just put the welding cables on the battery bank now...I'm going to take the secondary winding out of the old welder and use it as a resistance in case I have to weld something else. That should make it strike an arc better. Inside the Aims inverter, the wires going to the 39 pound transformer look like #2 furnace wire. Silver soldered on. I guess it should be for almost $900. I'm going to try to keep it working now. P. S. I just heard that batteries are going up a bunch in price pretty soon...word to the wise. Looks like we should have been stocking up on them. I'm undecided whether I am going to get two more for a total of twenty. I may just do it, and that will give me 1000 amp hours of battery bank. Or 25,000 watt hours. Nice round figures. 20 is a nice round number...We have an ice storm and probable outages this weekend...good job on your inverter. I guess we need to learn something about how they work...My cables couldn't get hot where yours did...at that spot there are four #1 cables bolted to the terminal. The plan was to have ten batteries per set of welding leads. To me that is kind of silly to put like 6 wires in a terminal. Why not just use a piece of #2 welding wire? A piece that long doesn't cost that much. They have some silly ways of doing things. Just a few small things would make most of them better. When they first started making them they used two #4 wires on the inside...which wasn't such a nightmare to solder up...so they always had connection there. They have gone to crappier stuff now, and like you say, they are charging more for the cheaper stuff now. So now if the batteries go up, the whole thing is going to cost more. It's pretty crazy with all the stuff out there, and they just put whatever rating on there, then most of them won't do half of that. But like you said, pay $300 and then you have to work on it before you can use it. You watch, after batteries double in price, no one will want these iffy inverters. They will want something that works without having to rebuild it first. In the old days everyone would have taken them back and got their money back, and the store would tell the maker, you have to have better product than that to sell here. So the next batch wasn't messed up...but now they get away with it. Just think , if an inverter had to meet it's rating, or not be sold in the USA. Then they would be made better. They give us whatever crap we keep buying. Everyone is used to taking their new inverter apart and fixing a few things before use, so that's what we keep getting. I guess it's time for me to save up for a Magna Sine 48 volt unit, and quit playing in the junkyard. The Aims Power 24 volt one will work until I can get it here. I think I can run them both with 20 batteries...So I'm only going to get around 3000 watts one or so. I think those can do the rating , at least. That's going to be my off grid power system...I'm building a windmill and maybe getting another 200 or so watts of solar, to give me 1200 or so watts. Then it should be done. See, that way I know I have 5000 watts...which, I think, will be enough. I won't be needin no stinkin plug in on the grid, see? lol I't's 8: 30 PM and my 18 batteries are at 25.8 volts. I think I'm gonna warm the Aims up a bit and bake some brownies in the electric oven. Thanks for the video...I have never had one of those kind of inverters. I never thought I would have 20 big marine batteries , either. But that may happen soon. I had an old timer tell me it was all about the batteries. So I got as many as I could . But if the grid goes down for any length of time, they're gonna look good sitting here to power my inverters. Oh, by the way, the Ukraine's main export? Lead for our batteries...looks like there might be a stiff increase in price...just thought I would give you a head's up before it hits here soon...peace out, and power up.

Can it really provide 3.3 KW? I doubt it, try it on inductive loads such as electric motors, air compressor

We have recently had one of these installed in our caravan by a licenced electrician. It is working fine but we can’t work out how to use the wireless remote to switch it on/off. As it is installed under the bed, we have to lift the bed up to switch it on/off. Can you assist?

Hi..my Giantz 3000/6000w inverter worked a few times boiling a small amount of water in a 240v kettle, then stopped. I plugged something into both plug points and nothing! The kettle is 1200w/1700w. Are these Giantz a load of *$^# ?

@Bainsworth I totally agree I'm sorry that happened. In my experience I've taken short 20 second vids quickly showing the obvious problem and then the seller posts that to the tech team that made the unit. In most cases they offer a refund of the full amount or provide you with another one without returning the original. If you can take a short vid that is low size (use handbrake to compress the file size) I would recommend you do I'm sorry this has happened mate. Good luck and let us know how you go

I just bought a 3000w generator to run my 10a plug welder and I've discovered that the welder has a startup current of 31a @240v which works out to 7440w of power needed to start! Not sure how they can put a small plug on such a high power consuming device. Im looking at buying a 4000w/8000w peak inverter but it will be pulling 250a @12v which I think will kill a battery and alternator pretty quickly.

I bought one of these and the fans never come on even pulling 120amps for 30mins.

Did you check the temp with a heat gun? The case is one big heat sink. 120 isn't much for a 3300w inverter though I wouldn't want to push that through it
