On 9/29/83, A CHORUS LINE celebrated its 3,389th performance, surpassing Grease as the longest-running show in Broadway history at the time.

For this performance, over 300 performers from various companies (Broadway, touring, international) performed in a one night only gala version of the show. Here is an hour of rehearsal at 890 Broadway. Best family reunion ever. Watch Michael Bennett restage the original show.

I never realized how absolutely gorgeous Baayork Lee was. Sheesh.. incidentally I was watching a live TV spot of Boots were made for walking with Nancy Sinatra and spotted Baayork in the dancer lineup

Pam Blair is in rehearsals but didn't stick around to do the event. Looks like Mitzi Hamilton in the video of the event where the original cast is on the line. Also, no Bob Lupone.
